  You might find these resources helpful, especially the segment on “letter of continued interest(LOCI)”. Start searching forums on that school to see what other students have said about being waitlisted and then accepted (what did they do that maybe you can do). It’s great that you have options to fall back on but that doesn’t mean you have to give up on the school you love the most. Give your best attempt at trying to come off the waitlist, you’ll never know unless you try.

  I went through this last cycle, hoping for a waitlist miracle at a few T14s I was way under median at. I spoke with a few consultants and by far the dominant piece of advice was to give them a better LSAT score. Good luck!

  @TimeIsMoney First of all, I just want to say congrats. There is nothing wrong with an early cycle wait list. You weren't rejected which means they are interested. In concurrence with what @canihazJD said, I would register for the January LSAT if you think there is any chance you can improve your score. If you are still on the waitlist then, being able to email them and say "hey, I improved my LSAT by 2 points and I am still interested" may very well get you in. If you end up getting in before then you could still try to leverage for scholarship aid or simply cancel it because you got your top choice.
