help with MP / MC

Is there a difference between MP and MC questions? To my understanding, MP applies to arguments. Are you supposed to approach them differently ?

Nope! They are one in the same, just different phrasing. The phrase "main point" is usually used in RC stims while "main conclusion" is usually used in LR stims.
