Starting to Study Again ... Advice?

Hi everyone,

I've been studying off and on for a couple of years now, but only seriously started studying for the LSAT with the 7Sage curriculum back in August. After some health issues and a lower than expected LSAT score in November, I've decided to to aim for the 2025 admission cycle. That said, I'm picking studying back up this week and wanted to know what you would all suggest.

I worked through the 7Sage curriculum in the past in a bit of a hurry and it clearly showed. For now, my plan is to get through the LSAT Loophole for a new perspective, then pick up the 7Sage curriculum again to brush up on the areas that I really didn't understand the first time around.

My plan is to retest in June and possibly one last time in August if necessary, and I'm hoping for about a 10 point jump.

I'd appreciate any and all advice as I pick up this tiring (but surely worth it) journey again!

  • It's harder to give specific advice without information on where you are / had been scoring. If you're in the 150s (or even low 160s) or below, absolutely review the core curriculum. Make sure you understand each question type / what it's asking and formal logic. Even if you're above low 160s, review won't hurt - you just won't have to dedicate as much time. You'll likely be able to skip question types that you know you're good at. Focus heavily on gaps in your knowledge, so your plan to brush up on weak areas is good.

Once you're done reviewing the CC, take a PT every other week until mid-March (assuming you'll have enough). From mid-March to June take a PT every week. Review and drill in between PTs. Again, focus on your weak areas from PT analytics.

Reflect on what worked well and what didn't work well from your previous study periods. Example: studying in the morning, amount of time per session, habits, etc.

Good luck, and (with the right habits) 10 points by June is a great goal!

I know some people like Loophole but I found it way overcomplicated without really giving any technique for the arguments so I would avoid that. Buy Superprep I and II and work through those.
