I am stuck

I have taken the LSAT 3 times after studying consistently and stayed around mid 140s. Truly I have been embarrassed to even post that this is where I am stuck but I plan to take the April LSAT and still haven't seen any improvement after studying full time since beginning of January. I am not entirely opposed to tutoring but really want to do it on my own because it is just too expensive. I have changed my studying techniques after doing research and asking for other peoples way to study but I still feel like I am not improving. If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it.

  • Focus on foundations and accuracy untimed. Move to timed drilling once your accuracy increases. It's difficult to give more specific advice without knowing your current study habits.

Have you considered canceling your April LSAT registration? There's still time left to cancel with full refund.

It's impossible to give any meaningful advice without knowing how you have been studying. but if you're still in there 140s after months of studying, something is clearly going wrong. if you're stuck there, I would assume that the issue is lack of fundamental skills (e.g. reading), and because you don't have those skills you either can't learn the techniques or can't apply them or both. it doesn't make any sense to take the test this early in the cycle when you haven't improved and you have already taken it three times. I would spend a month just reading hours a day outside the test, then get back to studying in a month and see if that helps
