What is the point of studying together?

I see frequent discussions on here asking for study groups and study buddies but I don't really understand why. I feel like LSAT prep is such a solitary experience that requires one to be alone and focus, so from me to you all, why does having someone else help at all? I feel like it would be nothing but a distraction for me.

It depends on the individual; some people just want an accountability partner, emotional support- relatability especially when they are lower scorers or people trying to break into the 170s. There's definitely a time for solitary study but everyone is different in terms of finding groups to be helpful in their process. A lot of people start the groups as higher scorers trying to break into the higher percentiles and thrive on helping lower scorers- teaching helps others do better sometimes. hope that helps you
