I am currently planning on taking the June 2025 LSAT, but currently in April I am scoring in the low to mid 160s on my PTs. I want to sure that I score in the upper 160s on my real exam, so should I delay taking it until August and spend the summer getting my PT scores consistently higher? My issue with that is that I would have less time to retake it if need be, as I plan to apply as early as I can in the cycle next fall. Or should I take it in June and plan to take it again?

If I were you, I would not register for the LSAT until you have 5 scores in teh score range that you want - it's expensive to register, I did the same thing and I held off. Keep studying until you see that score you want.
Sign up for June. A month and a half is enough to increase those 5ish points that you need, and theres no harm in taking it again if you need to. I had the same issue with April Vs. June. Ended up taking the April cycle and feel good about it, plenty of time to retake in June (or in your case August) if necessary. Good luck!
Scoring in the 160s now is great. Weigh the pros and cons: June gives you a retake option, while August allows more focused prep. Consider your study habits and application timeline. Good luck!
