Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone who qualified for a fee waiver here and through LSAC has been told that their fee waiver will not transfer to the new site and that they will have to reapply and reenroll in the fee waiver program in order to use the new site at a reduced rate? I have the fee waiver and as a low income, 1st gen applicant it has been a life saver, I have already spent thousands on study for this exam and 7 sage's fee waiver + recycled test prep books allowed me to spend time more time studying and less time worry about how to afford to do it!
I emailed an admin to see about getting onto the new site and was told "We've made a few changes to our fee waiver program. While there isn't a way to directly transfer your fee waiver access to the new site, I'd be glad to help you re-enroll." the admin then said that the reduced cost would be higher than the previous waiver program. I find it a bit unethical that 7 sage would change their policy on the waiver programs mid subscription for those who already have it, its like we have to choose between keeping our waiver or having an enhanced learning experience with the new site... the issue isn't the money here because it is still reduced but again, applying to law school is extremely expensive, waivers exist so as to not bar people who can't afford it from trying to apply. Everyone situation is different and these are extremely challenging times, making this sort of change mid year, mid subscription feels really unfair and inconsiderate.
Has anyone had a different experience with this or can someone direct me to an admin I can speak to about this more? mostly just venting here but really disappointed in 7 sage rn and wondering if I should continue elsewhere

I totally get it. I'm not transferring bc I don't feel like fixing my data this far in, but yeah, I understand. Though I will say I think 7sage still has the cheapest waiver option. I know some other sites are still a higher amount a month
i have a fee waiver and it transferred everything automatically. all i did was go to the new website, log in as normal, and everything was perfect.
@hannueyobBK Your fee waiver account on classic 7Sage (this site) is active. You can continue to use it. You don't have to enroll on the new site.
But if you want to enroll on the new site, you need to sign up for a new account on 7sage.com and enroll again there. It's $1/month.
I have the waiver and was just able to transfer over to the new site. The new amount is still very small amount fyi.
Good luck!
$1 a month is a mind-blowing level of generosity for 7sage's quality service that isn't a 'bargain' by any definition.
@J.Y.Ping @1stWorldProblems Again, the point isn't the money, I understand 1 dollar a month is not much for a platform like 7sage, I think as someone paying for a service or qualified for a reduce rate of a service, I should be informed of why there is such a policy and rate change. Changing the waiver and fees mid subscription is unethnical, I signed up and was approved for a waiver that lasts 1 full year at $1/year - now 7 sage has changed their policy, without warning and increased their waiver to $1/month, that is an extremely alarming rate of change. 7 sage should honor the waivers that were already in affect, if new people sign on sure, have them pay $1/month for the new site, but throwing away an active subscription and saying you need to pay this new rate or not get the enhanced learning experience is wrong, I messaged admin asking for more info on this (what were the terms of the previous waiver) and I still haven't heard from anyone
@hannueyobBK
As I've already said, your fee waiver account on classic 7Sage (this site) is active. You paid $1 for access for 1 year. We haven't changed anything about that. We are continuing to support your current fee waiver account with no change.
The new site is not a continuation of the classic site. It is a separate site with its own fee waiver program. There is nothing unethical about that.
Our student service team already told you what steps you would need to take if you want to enroll in the fee waiver program on the new site. You are free to take those steps or not.
Please stop disparaging our reputation.
I feel your struggle. Hope your law school app succeed!
