i have been blind reviewing at 162 but averaging around 153 for my actual exam, I'm honestly super discouraged, because I know I can do better in the 'real' test but the time conditions feel so heavy. I'm suppose to take my test in august before my senior year starts, and since I'm aiming for 2026 law school my applications need to be in relatively soon. if anyone has any advice or encouragement I'd be very grateful. Im not giving up, I just need some more hope.

thats normal; keep practicing; i made a 142 times and 156 blind review ;
Im in the EXACT word for word boat as you.
At your score band I think LSAT demon's advice is most appropriate. Quick glance at 7Sage's score calculator tells me 153 is like -30. So -10 per scored section -- roughly 15/25. Instead of thinking about speed, maybe don't even try to finish the section. Going 18/20 on the questions you actually attempt and then blind guessing the last 5 questions would be an improvement. Give it a try on a few timed sections. You'll be able to tell if it's a useful approach.
Thank you so much Zjjenks11, i'll definitely give it a try.
Eventually you will begin to see a pattern in the questions and understand more about what they're trying to do. I had an enormous shift in how long a section took me to do when I switched from reading the question first to reading the stimulus first. You begin to the see the loopholes in the stim or what they're looking for and you can cut out an absurd amount of time with the answer choices.
Truth be told I started taking these sections untimed and thinking through each problem until I was satisfied with my answer before I added the time constraint.
i think part of it is nerves too. Bc I feel like when i read the question without time it makes so much sense to me.
