I taped myself for the first time yesterday. It was SO helpful to see exactly where I was wasting time and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who struggles to finish sections on time. I don't time myself on questions while I'm taking the test b…
@"Habeas Porpoise" Yes! The post-CC webinar has been insanely helpful. Haven't had a chance to do test writer reviews yet but I'm going to give that a crack today. I think that'll really help with the questions I'm overconfident on.
I did just ta…

since this is a test that one can get better at
You're right
My thought is regardless of what admissions offices are going to think, better to keep studying getting better until you're pretty confident you'll score wel…
@AudaciousRed That's a great idea. I was using the same copy I did the PT on, so I guess in that sense it wasn't really "blind" at all. I'm definitely going to try my next BR with a clean copy; I'll be curious to see what happens. I wouldn't say …
@"samantha.ashley92" Thanks! It's definitely been a long process. I initially started studying about a year ago, and went through a lot of non-7sage materials for several months. I improved a lot on LG doing that but still suckkked at LR/RC. Then…
Hmm... I don't love this approach personally. I tend to get really confused if I do a lot of skipping around so I like to read both straight through and comprehend and remember everything I can about both, then hopefully don't have to go back to th…
Congrats on all of the 170s!!
My recent victory is finishing the CC and scoring a 169 on my first real timed PT since my diagnostic. Hoping to join you guys in the 170s soon
Yeah absolutely. Even if I think I understand the game, sometimes JY does it quickly/more efficiently or shows you an inference you didn't see that's a literally a "game changer"
@keets993 Thanks! I really like your idea of categorizing the questions you got wrong... I feel like that'll help make it much clearer why I'm missing them and why I don't think twice about them during the test. I definitely feel silly for having …
@keets993 yeah I definitely wouldn't be surprised if they did that intentionally. Definitely will focus on reading for structure next time I come across one like this
@btate87 You must be a musician also?? I haven't come across the Schoenberg passage yet but I just did the "London Pianoforte School" passage (PT24.S4.P1), which was what led me to post this. Also recently did a Louis Armstrong passage that I had …

Loving the intensity here... haha!

Some universities also don't really consider LSAC's GPA (some schools have their own way of calculating applicants' GPAs) so there's also that.
@Rtwrtw8 Anyone know if/which schools calculate their own? LSAC's calculation brin…
I personally don't feel I gained that much from going through the Trainer. The one thing I think was helpful was some of the LG notation strategies that are a little different from JY's (though I still greatly prefer 7sage's method--I find it clear…

Pretend like the material is a cute boy/girl you're crushing on; it's very important that you pay attention when they talk so later you can reference stuff they've said and show them just how much you remembered.

Find a really good place to study! I do most of my studying on the silent floor of a library and I find that environment really conducive to productivity. I tend to get really distracted by other things if I'm at home, so being in a quiet place ar…
I just finished the CC and my current plan is to take a couple of PTs, that way I can see where I'm at and then go back and use the drills to target specific areas of weakness. This is just based on my timeline and what I think will be best for me …
@Micolash Lots of Hans Zimmer for me lately as well. Been keeping the Interstellar soundtrack on repeat while I study. All of the minimalist organ music has been just what I need to stay focused recently.

Yes webinars would likely use a ton of data. Wouldn’t recommend unless you have unlimited. I don’t believe there is any way to download them.

@bnnewell90 great to hear from you! It seems like with strong numbers and using musical background to make us stand out, we should do fine. Best of luck!
I'm not sure if you're doing this but I'd also suggest trying to map out the logic on paper whenever possible like JY does in the explanation videos. I struggle with LR too and I think this has been helping me a lot. I find it especially helpful o…
@btate87 glad to hear these stories. This thread has been encouraging!
I think we definitely do have unique strengths so you and others are right about just making sure the schools realize it. Best of luck to you!
