@"Dillon A. Wright" I’m pretty sure there’s some kind of existential fallacy tied up in “Can’t,” so maybe something without it would be easier for those of us who want to avoid that as much as possible. Maybe when September scores are released I’l…
Man, if I got shorted five minutes I’d be careful with that too. I hope you’re planning to take your next test at a different testing center. You definitely don’t want to be worrying about that, so if you’ve got a strategy that eases your mind, go…
Have you tried the Ticonderogas @StopLawying ? If sharpness is your priority, those are the best I've used. I’d also recommend the palomino blackwing sharpener. And whatever you’re using, just make sure you have enough presharpened that you can gra…
You are very correct! Another thing I think is really helpful is to read beyond the LSAT RC material. Even if it’s Harry Potter or The Bible or 50 Shades of Gray, whatever you’re into; just read. When you realize the book has grabbed your full at…
To help identify structure, I try and pause for a few beats at the end of each paragraph and reflect on what it was all about and how it fits in with everything before it. So if I've done that accurately and it asks me what was the purpose of includ…

I took too long, however, going through my books
No you didn’t. Your initial estimation of how long it would take was wrong. One thing you’ll see over and over again at 7Sage is that prepping takes as long as it takes. When you pi…
That is the question.
One thing I do to pace myself is I’ll follow the lines with my pencil, but not in a straight left to right fluid motion, more of a one two one two rhythmic tapping motion. I’m not sure how to really explain it well, but I’m b…

My frustration is that I doubted myself which means that I lack confidence to rely on the basics of my fundamentals.
Don’t let this bother you T. It is beyond the scope of what the LSAT tests.
Thanks @"Keane Xavier" , managing discouragement is a big part of this process. A really big part of it for me has been staying active on here. I’ve come to realize that we’re all experiencing the same things. Knowing that everyone has those low …

id I cut and run on a question early that i am unsure about, if I get a second look I can get the correct answer.
Yeah, I’ve noticed this as well. I often can’t figure out why I was struggling with a question when I return to …
Oh yeah, sorry, that was really poorly worded. Basically all I meant was, if you don’t know what negation is, you can’t know what negating the sufficient is.
On a deeper level though, it’s also important to understand negation conceptually. So,…

"Some unicorns have one horn" is false because "some" requires that there be at least one unicorn, which there isn't.
Or is there… I believe.
Yeah @jessicalj I asked Sage Corey about it and he confirmed everything @quinnxzhang was saying. I think what threw me off is I just can’t find the lesson that deals with it. I think LSAT just really doesn’t want to go there and they just avoid it…
It’s all good @quinnxzhang I didn’t take it like that at all. I know you’re right, I actually answered no valid inferences as well.
I just got into a lot of trouble before 7Sage by not shifting my thinking from formal logic to LSAT logic. So in…
I’m really glad LSAT doesn’t go into existential fallacies!
Here’s my latest translation:
Spotted Chilean Panther that hunts at night --> Use Only Sense of Smell
Nocturnal Predators -some--> Stealthy.
If we can say (and we have to really be…
@"Grey Warden" I think there’s definitely some philosophical debate possible there. Maybe not with "predator,” but definitely with “nocturnal.” I mean, what does that even mean man?
That is an excellent, and very big question.
So what you will not see is a correct answer choice that just straight up negates a statement from the stimulus. When JY says not to attack the premise on a Weaken question, this is exactly what that me…
They do dull faster @cmelman95, but there will always be trade offs. For me, the darker writing is well worth it. Switching back to my Ticons now, the writing just looks thin and unsubstantial, they’re so light. I just go through more pencils whe…

Looks like it might be time for a new target score!
You’re going to kill me @runiggyrun! But yes, I’m taking in September, so hopefully plenty of time to hammer out problem areas and build consistency. We’ll see about the targe…
Although, I might argue that there is more to the concept of “nocturnalness” than engaging in an activity at night. Humans are diurnal, but this doesn’t preclude us from doing things at night.
I’m a Staedtler norica man myself. Until after September, it’s all I'm allowing myself to write with for any purpose, not just LSAT related work. The details matter.
