From the somewhat limited feedback with law schools at the recent DC law school day, I think that softs for NTD can probably help a break a tie with someone with the same numbers and without the softs. Or, having at least an unique story or set of c…
Remember, learning is a matter of number of repetitions and the time interval between those. If you take it slow and steady you will turn it into saying the A B C s. It is just something that you are naturally comfortable with. If you get burned out…
I found it helpful, actually. First off, with one exception, all the tables were really friendly and nice. The T14 were all there, except no one from Harvard and only 1Ls from Yale (no Yale staff members.) Every single admissions staff member I talk…
I would be curious to know if physical or other documented disability places a candidate for law school in a separate admissions category, much like the URM for racial and ethnic diversity?
I know 4 attorneys who have crafted interesting, meaningful careers outside of big law that give them lots of money and a good quality of life. So, in short, I agree with Nicole.
I agree with the above about not writing your own draft. I think it is more than fine to supply a list of bullet points about qualities that might be covered or commented on. But, the words should come from the reference.
@"bruiserwoods" Once again, it is just a bunch of paper and a pencil. No way it can hurt your or anybody. Just do your best Katherine Hepburn imitation and let your cool brilliance flow over that test.
@"runiggyrun" Ha!! Another good idea for a LOR - one of the authors who wrote for my book series. Maybe the guy who is the Vice Chairman of his department but in a different specialty than I am. We were even residents together many, many moons ago. …
@"cantgetright" Now, that is an interesting idea - getting a letter from someone on the film team. Guess the best person would be the director of the film. Technically the director works for the producers, but in reality the director is the big chee…
What would you all do if you were the professor?? I finished UG many, many decades ago and grad training many decades ago. I don't really want to ask students and it would be unethical to ask patients.
Good luck, everyone. Congratulations for getting down in the arena and getting your face dirty. You are working towards your goals. And, remember, it is just a test - pieces of paper and a pencil. Nothing you do tomorrow will cause any threat to any…
@westcoastbestcoast How did they unilaterally change your location, date, and time?? Under what authority do they tell you you can not take a test at the location and time you signed up for??
Ah, guys, I used to live in Pittsburgh and it is one cool city. But, if you are not familiar with it, probably best to not try to fly in and take a test there. The Universities are in cramped, noisy urban neighborhoods with tons of traffic and it is…
At the decided risk of being a killjoy, the data are clear that alcohol negatively impacts memory retention and learning. If you were my patient, I would counsel no alcohol.
But, it's a triumphant death after OP gets up every morning for 2 weeks at 5 am and rides his bike across town to doctor on it and who has to console the grade schoolers who are in tears who have adopted it as a class pet....
This would be very helpful information. Hoping that if hold webinar at a time when work intervenes, it can be preserved for later viewing like the rest of the webinar library. Thanks for doing this.
