CONGRATS! yes please
i'd be interested in the key ideas/strategies that you think helped you learn most efficiently. also, mindset throughout prep and during the test!
I've only done A so far and I thought it was difficult and a time suck. I'm usually 0 to -2 on games as well. I've heard B and C are difficult too--so definitely games I need to drill!
Thank you for this encouragement. I'm coming up on 1 year, and I am definitely not where I originally set out to achieve. But I guess it's always the journey and not the destination, and we make the best out of what we have accomplished
Thanks aga…
was looking through the threads for some more advice on RC, this is a WEALTH of wisdom here
in other news @nicole.hopkins, as someone who lives in seattle, i'm happy to report it did not fly off the face of the earth... yet...... and i'm also happ…
It's better to have thorough review and really solidify your understanding, than just purely taking PTs. I realized I wasted a lot of my PTs because I didn't have the fundamentals down, and taking the test did not do much but reinforce poor understa…
@StopLawying thanks for the suggestion. And re: PDFs, I was wondering that too!
@c.janson35 yes, the LSAT has taught me a lot about letting it go and cutting losses. Opportunity cost!
Law is definitely not for a lot of people, but it's also a GREAT fit for some people. From what I have seen from quite a few people here on 7sage, your dedication and commitment to the LSAT alone says a lot about how you will be dedicated and commit…
@nicole.hopkins @c.janson35 @ddakjiking
thank you for your input! gotta keep focusing on the skills and not the score, as always but this is helpful to gauge how i could be scoring.
I realized late into my prep for the June 2015 that I had sacrificed quality for quantity. In the last weeks of my prep, I focused on drilling specific question types, and thoroughly reviewing my reasoning for the right answers and the wrong answers…
I am secretly happy to retake the LSAT in October, because I knew I wasn't ready for June, and now I get a second chance at perfecting my logic skillz. I am also excited to take my first PT after a decent break... and at the same time I know I'll be…
@sarkisp23 thank you, I needed to hear that too!!!
but @Dgelf321, to acknowledge what you're feeling: i totally feel you. and it's good to get all the anguish out, because yes it's just a test, but we who have pushed and slaved so hard do it becau…
@emli1000 well i've already taken the 50s PTs, so i'm just wondering if i should use them for drilling purposes instead of the earlier ones, to become more "fluent" with the newer tests? i could be overthinking this
I believe the test date change deadline is May 24, so you could reassess by then? That's what I'm doing There's a fee of $85 to change your test date. I guess that's assuming if you registered already.
The Trainer also gives you wonderful practical strategies to use under timed conditions, all throughout the book. There are different "hats" to put on for the different types of question, and you don't want to spend energy using the wrong skills for…
Thanks for the responses! Like I said, I'm a natural night owl. But from January until now, I made myself wake up at 5 am, and got really good focused studying time. It was good up until the last few weeks, I'm having a hard time waking up and I wan…
That's good to know that you have been able to adapt. I am definitely still working on building my endurance, especially for the afternoon. Hmm maybe it would be good to shift my clock back to what feels normal to me, and have the energy to take lat…
I'm realizing there are soo many factors that influence your overall score. A PT score doesn't necessarily reflect how much you're progressing in your learning overall. With each question, there are many steps to your thinking process that results i…
According to this, after Oct 2011, the experimental could appear in any of the sections. And I guess it could be anything. Booo
