  • @AudaciousRed said: I'd be miffed by this arrangement, too. To ask for binding commitment, but offer no details where it comes to cost / fin aid, is completely unfair in my mind. I'm kind of a "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush" …

  • Untimed, but try to do them as fast as you can while still being confident. You don't want to get into a habit of being way too slow. You could also time them, but not give yourself any time limit just to start getting an awareness of the timing.

  • Two things. Do you want a job in Lansing, somewhere on the east side of the state, somewhere on the west side of the state, Detroit, or outside the state? You can't count on the bigger law firms from either school, but I've heard Wayne State gives …

  • @goingfor99th said: Congratulations! That's a big deal. :] Well since I expected a rejection, it is finally a school where I have exceeded my expectations. It also brings me to a total of 8 waitlists, 1 rejection, and 4 acceptances.
  • I think I'm going to stay on at least for a while. @paulcaint I promise if they let me in and I reject them I'll do it in a timely fashion. I'll have to anyway. @"mickey.caleb" said: Stay on the wait list. Especially if you are still figurin…

  • You do realize that there isn't any mammoth benefit to a 180 over say a 179 or 178 right? These scores are over the 75ths at all schools schools. So if you have scored 179 or 180 on 18 tests in a row which is stunningly impressive, then I don't see…
  • If you want to clerk and work in the midwest, I would assume the contacts of a midwestern law school would be more uselful (Northwestern, Michigan, Chicago, or even WUSTL). While the top schools have more national reach, closer schools are always go…

  • It seems like you could get actual work experience in those two years and get paid. What value do you think the MPP will add for you in the long run?
  • Transferring is always a bad plan. That's not to say that you should never transfer just that it never really helps where it matters in your planning. The reason you go to a top school is to defray risk. You are less likely to end up without a job …
  • I'd probably take Albany because it is cheaper, but I would also probably retake or negotiate until I got full tuition at one. Half tuition and cost of living is a whole lot of debt to pay off without big law.
  • What will the cost of attendances look like?
