Untimed, but try to do them as fast as you can while still being confident. You don't want to get into a habit of being way too slow. You could also time them, but not give yourself any time limit just to start getting an awareness of the timing.

Transferring is always a bad plan. That's not to say that you should never transfer just that it never really helps where it matters in your planning. The reason you go to a top school is to defray risk. You are less likely to end up without a job …

I'd probably take Albany because it is cheaper, but I would also probably retake or negotiate until I got full tuition at one. Half tuition and cost of living is a whole lot of debt to pay off without big law.
