@LCMama2017 I'm right there with you. As the primary child care provider / grocery-getter in my house hold, my ability to support my family …
@westcoastbestcoast Continuing the California discussion, my wife sent me this while I was at the grocery store.

Have you asked to have the stipulations removed? I have heard of people doing that as a negotiating tactic (and succeeding). The worst thing they could say is no...
Just a thought.
@"Leah M B" WUSTL is one of my top two choices (assuming I can muster a competitive LSAT score, I'm battling a huge splitter issue). I would love to hear your thoughts about your visit.
@marcosmcqueen I think a school grouping parents like that is actually pretty awesome, as long as there are no unintended consequences (battling the curve against the car pool). Sounds like one school actually listened to some student feedback.
@teamteamvicster It definitely can be done. My wife made it through her last three months of pregnancy and the first six months of our daughter’s life during the last year of her nursing BSN (including class work and clinicals) while I was in Iraq.…
@FixedDice Our crew is down a member, how is your driving? Can you handle this:

@westcoastbestcoast , We definitely saw the LA / SD traffic snarls you mentioned while we were there. My wife and I are spoiled because we lived in Monterey for 2 years (long ago) and got the benefits of coastal Cali without the traffic.

@Pacifico I apologize for hijacking your thread
@"surfy surf" @xadrianas6x @LCMama2017 I've sent you all a private message. My post had absolutely no gender bias in it. I would say the exact same thing to any parent of any sex.
Thread hijack, I apologize. I have to jump in and give my personal opinion (and that's all it is, my opinion, take it for what its worth).
@xadrianas6x @LCMama2017 Being away from your kids is a whole lot tougher than you think. I unfortunately …
What follows is purely anecdotal so take with a HUUUUUGE grain of salt: I am close friends with four US Marine JAG officers (current and former), one of whom is a LOR writer for me. None of them are operating on the international stage that you ex…
My N=1, What worked for me was to slow down and make sure I understand what I'm reading. RC is the only section that I can currently finish with any consistency. I started at a good point (likely because I'm an avid reader of all genres, my UG is …
I would echo @LSATcantwin 's comments and add that there may be a sampling error with relying on discussions with successful lawyers from "Insert School". How many people from "Insert School" that don't have legal jobs are you likely to run into / …
Good luck with your apps!
If you want a new obsession, try running / marathons / qualifying for Boston / triathlons / Ironmans / qualifying for Kona. The geekiness in this house is insignificant compared to the geekiness in some of those worlds.
A big congratulations on your day! Give yourself plenty of time to soak in the happiness and sense of accomplishment fully before you turn the page to the next goal. Its a big win.
When you do start looking forward, focus on consistency with your…
Is a more relevant point to this conversation, at least to the OP's question, whether or not the entirety of UPenn law school should be painted with the same brush some are using to paint Wax? Is this a case of systemic, organizational wide bias / …
The whole "knowing which is for score thing" doesn't come into play for me because I actually want to do well at each section I take, regardless of whether its included in my fake score (as I call my PTs) or not. I use random.org to give me a numbe…
Since its your first, focus on enjoying the day. Soak in the crowd, wave / give hi-5’s, thank a volunteer. Be happy with whatever time you finish with. You can obsess with ‘being fast’ at x-distance later in your running career.
During law schoo…
No interest in Penn nor 2. Any special knowledge of the topic besides a few news articles from a google search, but the question I did have was "How does she know the racial breakdown of her grades?" (as addressed above).

How do you avoid shin splints? I admire your consistency with running. The most I could ever run was 2.7 miles lol

6 days a week of running at zero stupid early (run and done prior to waking the family up to start their day). I’ve found that if I don’t get a run in early, it is the first thing to get skipped. My wife doesn’t like it when I don’t workout regula…
For me, it depends on how I'm doing / where I know my weaknesses are. I'm almost halfway through the CC, and I usually do half of the problem sets (every other one). If I'm doing well (all correct) AND I am completing them quickly, I'm okay with s…
