I know that it's considered a soft factor. Grad school grades don't factor in to your LSAC GPA. It sounds like it's subjective for every school but probably not a huge boost.
Yes! That's a step a lot of folks don't make it to. From what I've read, that maybe puts you like 75% chance of admission. Not a done deal, but significant chances.
Congratulations!

Slightly unrelated, but do you feel you run out of time in LR too? Or are you generally finishing with time to spare? Maybe reflecting on that could give good insight into improving speed? Also, do you have any skipping stra…
Ha, J.Y. with that tough love. It's true though. 73 was right about average for me. And as a lot of people say, I think it's that overall the tests are similar difficulty, but the sections might vary some. So if 1 has tougher RC, it might have easie…
I’d say with LR, what helped me a lot is just the BR. When you got it to 50/50 and pick the wrong one, making sure to really dissect why each answer was either right or wrong. What it is that you missed the first time around. It’s also true that as …
Just dropping by to say that I finally took this as a PT and whew... that was rough. Agreed with everyone’s overall assessments. RC was killer and LG was crazy easy. I’ve only ever finished a LG in time once before (usually run out of time a couple …
I feel like with SA, NA, MBT and usually parallel reasoning, those are all question types that lend themselves well to "lawgic" diagramming. I feel like maybe you drill some of those question types and practice diagramming them to see connections, i…
Sometimes I realized it helps me to almost process it backwards. I'll usually read the stimulus and vaguely identify the flaw (e.g. not representative group) but with knowing that there could be something else as well so you don't get too set on fin…
Thanks everyone! Really just want to encourage folks that this can make you want to rip all your hair out and jump out the nearest window at times, but grinding and putting in the work does eventually bring results. Even if the result is not always …
It seems like a simple, "Knowing this," would suffice. But I also use words like suffice, so what do I know? haha. I like @uhinberg's point though, that it seems best to default to the simplest word that works. Especially since it is a personal stat…
What's helped me some on the MP questions for RC is remembering to think about the passage as a whole and what it is trying to accomplish. Is it persuasive, convincing me that a theory is correct? Is it explanatory, telling me about a phenomenon? I'…
Yep, same as the others. Saturday mornings and usually BR on Sundays. There's a pretty calm coffeeshop near my house that I like to PT at since it's open early. If I do one in the later morning or afternoon, then my library. During the week I'm now …
Yeah I think part of the problem here is that all the gains you really make are in review, not the PT itself. Not just doing BR, but even after BR and you see what you got wrong and where you incorrectly changed your answers (GAH I know how frustrat…
Agreed with a lot of the above. Also it seems very common to hit a plateau in the mid 160s. I started with diagnostic 155 in February and studied off and on from then through the summer, buckling down in the last few months and now am pretty consist…
I listen to most vids on 1.7x (my roommate heard it and thought JY was a mad man lol), and turn to 1.44x if I need to absorb material a little better. For the first time in months, I put a video on 1.0x just to see what his normal speaking voice sou…
I probably lean close to what @LSATcantwin does. I generally will pick an answer, not skip it entirely. If I narrow it down to 2 or 3, go with my gut and pick one just in case I don't have time to come back to it. I circle all the questions I'm not …

I purchased the Master Mind Watch a few weeks back and then found out that it might not be approved anymore. I called into LSAC to find out exactly what the policy is. The representative I spoke w…
I think it's better to let sleeping dogs lie, you know? My guess is that the most likely scenario is you would do a lot better re-taking it as a PT without the test day nerves, and then it would be really easy to keep beating yourself up over it. Be…
A lot of good advice in here, but I really honestly think you could use a break to give your brain time to rest and recharge. You might not feel tired, but your brain might be feeling it. I had a time where I got worse in LR and wanted to pull my ha…
I'd be down to read it! If you're open to it, I'm in a similar place of having a verrrrry rough draft and I'd love another set of eyes on mine too. Swap?
Yeah, I think it's important to see where you start from so you can see where you need to improve the most. The diagnostic is supposed to be completely foreign to you and difficult. It has no bearing on where you'll end up, but it helps to know exac…
I'm guessing I'm in the 200-300 range. It definitely feels like not enough, but it is what it is. I've gone from 155 diagnostic to averaging mid 160s. I want/need higher than that, so really grinding until the December test, will keep light studying…
Yeah, sometimes GPAs change with LSAC because of how they calculate things. They use a specific method to standardize everyone's GPAs. It'll likely be close but could go up or down a bit.
FWIW - my college that I attended for 3 years doesn't recogn…
I know that it is indeed common practice to write your own letter in a lot of situations, but I have also seen it explicitly cautioned against for law school applicants. If a school detects that you wrote it yourself, they can report it to LSAC whic…
I will say majority of the one line sequencing games are usually 5-6 minutes. But those can vary if there's a crazy twist or something.
And yeah, I wished those showed up on the app too, but if you look at it on the website, the text is on the page…
I'm jealous of whoever's that is with the ipad and that gorgeous open field! The study place of dreams. Also, that one on the deck overlooking water - do I spy another Pacific NWer? That definitely looks like the Puget Sound! haha
