Think of your explanations like an argument that needs to be sound. Simply writing "irrelevant" is just like declaring a conclusion without a supporting premise. Treat your reasoning like a premise to an ultimate conclusion of right or wrong.

I don't know whether I will retake in March (depending on Jan score); but good luck with your final take, Lucas! You have been an enormous help in/on this forum!!
Thank you sooo much! Good luck with your January score!!

@"Lucas Carter" would you meditate prior to taking RC sections and full PTs? Or did you find that meditating in general (say every morning) helped with your processing and effectiveness?
Both!! I found that meditating each…
Anecdotally, I found that meditation helped me much more than any speed reading techniques. I was able to make my mind more calm which made room for information to be processed faster and more effectively. As with most LSAT tips, try stuff out and …
It sounds like you are analyzing the argument and coming up with a pre phrase to the assumption in the argument. In other words the gap between the premise and conclusion. This is great because it means you are consciously thinking about the argumen…

Hey Yes that's what I thought too. But I was just browsing through Manhattan Prep for PT 9 stuff, the mentor there wrote something like this:
When we convert that "No A are B" into conditional logic, it is the same as sayi…
Hey, so the first sentence begins by discussing Mainstream Economic Theory. This sentence is telling us about a norm or common thought of other people. 98/100 times that we are told about other peoples opinions in an argument, it is because the auth…
How many questions per section type are you missing? Are you finishing the sections in time? Lastly how do you feel during the sections; panicked, rushed, etc.?. For us to point you in the right direction we need a bit more details.
I think it would be considered an embedded conditional where it could be represented as "T". We would define T to mean a world where All Xs are /Y. So if we know we have a world where X----->/Y then we know /Z. So T ---------> /Z, where T= X…

thanks for the feedback and discussion link @"Lucas Carter"! i've noticed that nuanced trend myself, but unfortunately i've burnt up everything that is 50+ for my november take (except for a random 8x PT). i'll probably just re…
Hey the consensus seems to be that LR and RC have changed slightly to be less cookie cutter and many find it more difficult for this reason. This thread sheds more light on the details of this: https://classic.7sage.com/discussion/#/discussion/18546…
Hey, I have taken the LSAT in Albany both at SUNY Albany and Albany Law School. SUNY Albany was a great testing center. The test was administered in a large lecture styled room with comfortable seating, great proctors, and 0 distractions or oddities…
I would interpret protect to mean lessening the chances of something. It does not mean that it will 100% not happen but rather the chances are decreased. For example a flu shot protects against the flu meaning in most cases your chances of getting t…

MR-------> Control or /Control----------->/MR so it looks like you have it correct. When there are two logical indicators like this you can use either one but the key is seeing the other one as a negation. This is covered in this lesson : ht…
Going -3 on RC is something to be very proud of, congrats on that. I think that alone is indicative of the fact that you are able to understand the structure of what you read at a very high level. That skill should transfer over to LR success. It so…
Congrats on your November score!! While you still have room to improve, that is an awesome score and you should be very proud. I scored a 166 in November but had a little bit different break down. I went -6 LR, -4 LG and -5 RC. Before November I h…
The best method is going to vary per person, so I would recommend trying different warm up variations before you do a PT at home. See which one makes you most confident and gives you a sense of swagger going into the PT.
For me I printed out a 1 st…
I take invoking a fallacious distinction to mean: treating 2 things as different erroneously. In this case the 2 things at hand are speech and other types of behavior.
So maybe an example would be: All actions that cause harm should be examined. Th…

I thought it was easier than June and July. June’s RC destroyed me. I thought this one was a very typical LSAT. It’s also totally possible that I was just more prepared for this one after 8 months of studying. But it also …
