That common wisdom is still true. A lot of schools won't review your application if you have a pending LSAT. The absolute best thing for you to do to maximize your chances would be to apply next cycle of course, but if you're dead set on this cycle …
How many PTs do you have left right now? I think you should be aiming for one a week. As you get closer to test date and see how your scores are going, you can readjust your plans. I think saving a handful of PTs isn't a bad idea necessarily.

Here's an excerpt (the major mistakes people make) : 1. Not Keeping Your Essay at 250 Words or Less. Yes, it seems like it would be obvious…
@Jaytrong I believe @"Simple Man" is making a 69 joke
Side note: this is now the second time I've had to explain a 69 joke on the 7sage forum. I'm either doing this whole forum thing wrong orrrrrr really right
If there's anything particularly "academic" about your job- writing, any sort of research, etc.- then asking her to highlight those skills and how you've used them might be a good idea. Or something that would indicate good performance in law school…
The difference likely won't be negligible though. Out of state tuition at Berkeley is $53,315. Out of state tuition at UVA is $61,300. Eight thousand dollars per year means that Berkeley is 24,000 dollars cheaper. And this is assuming sticker at bo…
If you want NYC, I'd go to UVA. If you want West Coast, I'd pick Berkeley. Of course the problem with this type of analysis is that the COA will most definitely not be exactly the same at both schools.
I would do both. I don't think it's too kiss assy at all. Send a short thank you note now and then you can follow up with them and let them know where you're going.
When I walked out of the September test I had no idea what to think. On the morning of gray day I told my girlfriend that I was absolutely positive I had gotten a 169, and sure enough I had.
I wasn't able to test where I wanted for the September test. I had to drive to a city a little more than an hour away. I was lucky enough to have a friend who lived there and was also taking the LSAT, but it could have really sucked. I think that if…
I disagree a little bit. I think that the problem sets are where you get to apply what you're learning. I wouldn't waste PTs (maybe the older ones but definitely not newer ones) until you've gone through the full CC.
First of all, it's great that you're going to talk to your doctor. I had severe anxiety for years and my doctor was able to help me a lot.
1) Whenever you feel like it, but don't put it off for a crazy long time. Basically, if you feel ready to jum…
A cancellation doesn’t look good, but it can be explained in crazy circumstances. Two cancellations says you just aren’t prepared. Most law schools take your highest score into consideratio, so you still have your 165 even if you got a lower score t…
I don’t really think stopping cheating/blatant rule violation is “ball busting.” It seems like bamboo is taking the high road and accepting responsibility, which I applaud. Blaming the proctors is unproductive.
Your thought about better applicants just applying earlier isn't quite correct, because admissions predictors compare the results of candidates with the exact same numbers who apply at different points during the cycle. So a 160 3.5 who applies in O…
I don't think so. Certainly some games mirror previous games more closely, but I doubt they'll come up with a game where none of your previous foolproofing would help with making inferences. The inferences might not be exactly the same, and you migh…
I think that retaking the September test could either 1) show you how much you've improved or 2) psych you out. I knew that for me, retaking it or even BRing it would just make me unnecessarily mad/frustrated at myself, so I chose not to. I think th…
Yeah, I'd have to agree with @BinghamtonDave. Quite frankly, unless you're a very high scorer, it's probably unlikely that you're able to distinguish between "stuff that's not relative" and the stuff that is really important. And you definitely need…
I did this at the September test and it worked well for me and the proctors didn't care if they even noticed. It's not against the rules to adjust your watch. You should be good!
Practicing a lot of games is the best way to get faster. There's not really a short cut or a better way other than practicing and really understanding the logic. Foolproofing and carefully going through the CC is pretty much guaranteed to make you f…
It sounds like you're psyching yourself out about the "real" test day. Listen to the newest 7sage podcast, don't take anymore PTs, and just try to remember that you've hit your goal score lots of times in practice and you can do it on the real thing…
Yeah, try to think of it as though you've gotten your goofs out and the test will go smoothly now. You can't let one bad day defeat you after months of hard work. That work is still there that you've done. I would just lightly drill, maybe do some t…
