Every official LSAT is four sections with an experimental added in. You can't buy five section tests. If you want to practice with five sections, you'll have to use a regular four section PT and pick a section from a different test to add to it.
Wait- are these last five scores PTs or actual takes? If you haven't taken it yet, I'd suggest maybe getting a starter account and going through the CC.
Melatonin is a good idea! And I could definitely be better about my sleep hygiene. My doctor has told me that there is no danger in stopping (I'm on such a low dose that I don't need to be weaned off or anything like that). Basically, no matter what…
I think one thing that can happen is people recognize that it's a science passage and go "omg no I hate science and I don't understand it" and then that throws you off for the whole passage. So maybe try pretending like you love the science passages…
I think in this case I wouldn't retake. It's hard to predict scholarships especially for splitters, but I think you've set yourself up pretty well for UofMn. If this had been your first LSAT I'd say maybe try again, but since you've taken it so many…
I think it's both, but mostly from not getting enough sleep. I might try your suggestion to do a bunch of stuff to get more sleep for the next week or so and see how it goes. Thanks for the response!
If a good portion of those are from LG, then a lot of people will tell you that you can pull it off. 7-8 points is a lot in 3.5 weeks though, so it might be worth seriously considering postponing. I would keep studying as though you're taking in Sep…
It depends on how much time you have before you want/plan to test. Exposure to as many LSATs as possible can never be a bad thing, because the test writers do use a lot of the same patterns and the more you see the more comfortable you'll be with th…
A two year gap helps, if anything, as long as you've been doing something productive with that time (work, volunteering, etc.). Two years just for studying the LSAT won't look good. What is your goal score and what are you scoring now? If you're clo…
Most people will agree that a 172 on the first take is better than having eight takes, but it's not like you can change it at this point. I think you'd be shooting yourself in the foot if you let the number of takes you've had affect the schools tha…
I think @"samantha.ashley92" meant when are you taking the actual LSAT. I definitely would make sure that most days when you study you see something from each section (in general). If you want to take a week or two to really just hammer out some foo…
I don't think that you need to change it too much, honestly. If there are ways of explaining what you did without using technical words that people outside of your field are unlikely to know the meaning of, then I would do so. I think that the point…
You're supposed to put it all in at once. If you know your score before you BR, it can change the way you approach BR and make it less effective, especially when you can see the breakdown by section. Having said that, it can be really hard to patien…
I understand your apprehension towards "cure" type stories; I take medication for anxiety and while it has helped me enormously I don't think I'll ever be "cured" in the way that people think of it. I think that if you can find a way to work it in w…
No, you can't ED to multiple schools (that's kind of the point of ED). Most of us on here are either students or we have jobs/careers (or both) and really do get that it's hard to carve out time from all of those things to study. It really is worth …
You gpa and LSAT are below both medians, but not by a lot, so ED might be a good decision if you're absolutely sure that this is your top choice, and that you're willing to go regardless of whether or not you receive scholarships.
I'm definitely not an admissions expert by any means, but I don't think you need to write an addendum. With the difference between your lowest score and your highest being four points, they're not going to think anything crazy about it. Four takes i…
I think it would absolutely be worth it. No school has a median LSAT above a 173 https://classic.7sage.com/top-law-school-admissions/ and a 4.0 is over every school's 75th. Focusing on games sounds like a good strategy, especially for faster results…
lawschoolnumbers.com can help you figure out chances at specific schools. I think that you have a reasonable shot at Columbia with your numbers. Since you scored almost exactly your PT average, I don't think you should retake unless you get your PT …
Since your gpa is a little below median for both of those schools, you're definitely going to want to get your LSAT up to have a good shot. I think the best strategy would be to have your app completely ready to go and take the LSAT in November and …
Yeah I thought the CC was helpful for sure! I’m a believer in the “growth mindset” and I think that the way people talk about RC being the hardest to improve causes too much discouragement. It might be harder than the other two, but it’s possible!
What has your schedule looked like as far as studying since the June exam? September being a month away doesn't give you a ton of time, so if you haven't been PTing at all then you might want to consider postponing until November. I think that a six…
I read a passage all the way through without stopping. I don't stop to take notes, I don't stop to try to understand a weird word, I just go through without breaking my rhythm. The only writing I ever do on the passage are small brackets to indicate…
