Just what I've noticed:
The Black Warrior tends to have "softer" lead. It dulls a tad quicker than the Ticonderoga. I've found that it's one of the best pencils for bubbling in answers. The Ticonderoga on the other hand, tends to stay sharper for a …
@jennilynn89 I ultimately ended up wasting $200+ in registration fees. I registered for October, 2015. Postponed to December, then ended up cancelling my Dec registration. I have learned that you do NOT set a date, and tell your self that you must r…
Apply next cycle if that is an option. I was in the same boat as you. Ultimately I decided that I had two options: 1) Apply this cycle, get into an "okay" if even that, law school, and likely regret my decision. Or, 2) Apply next cycle, have more ti…
The first question I would ask is, "was I doing my PTs correctly?" Also, what exactly went wrong? Did you walk out of there thinking you scored in the 155+ range?
If you scored a 148, I would consider delaying until June and applying for the next c…
Are you using the 7Sage fool proof method? Link below. The games are highly predictable. What you saw on a 1991 exam, you'll see again in a 2000+ exam. I'm sure you already knew that. I too read the games bible...it helped a tad. However, what I bel…
Not too sure myself. I was informed that only a few schools look at them. I researched whether to submit evaluation requests, and a few days worth of looking around the interwebz yielded a simple "don't bother."
I don't think requesting an evaluati…
If you're asking if there's anyway to determine which section is most likely to be the experimental one, the answer is simply no. Unfortunately, if can be any of the first 5 sections.
I see it as a 2 stage process:
Stage 1) Learn the fundamentals. Time spent trying to figure out what a question is asking is time ill spent. Time spent second guessing yourself because you "aren't sure" is valuable time that you will not get back.…
@"J.H. Song" Thanks for the input. That's what I figured as well. At the moment, the plan is to take it in June if I am scoring consistently in Harvard's LSAT range. It's killing me that I have the GPA for YHS, but my LSAT score leaves a lot to be d…
@Petrichor Thank you for the information! Most of those advantages do not apply to me. I graduated last may, so summer-study is irrelevant to me. Strangely enough, I had no trouble registering for my location of choice in October. Then again, the ne…
Sorry guys, what I meant to ask is whether there are any advantages in sitting the June LSAT over the October exam. Thanks for the advice and information.
@gs556 That's great! Again, congrats! I may end up taking the October test...I doubt I'll get my score to 172+ by June (I'm assuming it's an automatic rejection from Harvard unless your score is in the 170 range).
Wishing you the best.
@Pacifico I am not procrastinating. I just happen to be one of those people who is taking far longer than expected to nail down the LSAT. Part of the reason I have not started my applications yet is because I already spend 10+ hours a day, 7 days a …
@gs556 Yale and Harvard? Part of me hates you right now! Kidding, I'm happy for you. Huge congrats to you, haha!
If you don't mind my asking, for how long did you study? I'm about 5 months in and barely scoring in the 155+ range (from a horrid 137 …
@Pacifico Oh no, that's not what I meant by starting the application after sitting the test. Of course you should have your PS, LORs, and resume ready beforehand. I meant that there isn't really any point in "starting" the application itself. The af…
@Pacifico I've always been told to have the apps ready prior to sitting the LSAT. However, I never saw any sense in doing so, for the reason you listed. There is no point in having them ready months in advance, if it won't be submitted until 3 weeks…
I haven't gotten to the Flaw lesson in the Trainer or 7Sage. However, judging by what you've posted, the Trainer separates the flaws more broadly that does 7Sage. For instance I can think of 3 or 4 different flaws that would fall under "Piece not pu…
Glad my internet is up for this one! Does anyone have a recording of the last workshop (active reading)? I missed that one and was looking forward to it.
Ugh, pulled a bonehead move and told my internet provider that they could work on my internet, thinking they would be done before the workshop. Here's to hoping for another active reading workshop! Thanks again, guys and gals, for doing this.
Personal preference. I've tried both methods. For LG and RC, I bubble after each game and passage, respectively. For LR I bubble after each question. Try both ways and see which is quicker and more comfortable for you. I would consider doing 1 page …
Per the LSAC's website, the scores should be released via email by January 5. They do say that their listed dates are just estimates, so who knows...
