  • @"Cant Get Right" Hahaha! I just had to pull up that passage. Those older LSATs are waaaay off base...at least when it comes to discussions of technology.
  • OP, first off I'm sorry to hear about your rough patch. First, understand that time heals all wounds. That said, don't rush the LSAT, and don't rush studying for it. Your primary goal right now is to work on your happiness. Have you seen a therapis…
  • Logic games are incredibly repetitive, and to a large degree predictable. The primary difference between games is how the creator of the game hides the inferences. Do them over and over, and fool proof them. Eventually you'll look back and say, "I c…
  • @ethan.ames Jeez, way to make the rest of us look bad, haha! I haven't recorded any of my PT sessions. However, if I ever decide to, I'll likely set up my laptop on a stand, angle the screen downward, and use the webcam.
  • I use a modified version of it. Obviously I'm not flipping over my PT and trying to remember what I just read. Here is what I do: 1) Read the paragraph 2) Quickly summarize what I just read. If I can give a detailed summary, great. If not, a general…
  • Thanks 7Sage! We all know Josh will steal the gold next month. So, don't remove those PJs from your cart just yet @"Cant Get Right"
  • @TheCubicleEscapee said: I know it is odd saying a bunch of strangers helped me realize all of that This is essentially what separates 7Sage from every other forum, prep company, etc. We genuinely do care about each other. When I first started usi…
  • Sounds like a great sharpener. One of the things that annoyed me most was having to use 2 different sharpeners while PTing. One to "sharpen" the pencil, and the other to give it that nice point.
  • From what I've heard and seen, turning in your application early is always good to do if and only if you've reached your desired score. If not, you're better off postponing if that means boosting your score by even a few points. I'm almost positive…
  • I've been researching it for some time, and will certainly be applying. That said, I would have a backup plan. From what I've been told, getting into JAG can be more difficult than getting into Biglaw.

  • I highly doubt it. In every LG section that I have done, there has been a combination of different game types and set-ups. They would be making it far too easy if they simply included 4 linear games in the LG section. LSAC doesn't like us that much.
  • Nope, never. Unless there are 10 "A" answer choices in a row, I just assume that the LSAC doesn't really put much effort into organizing correct answer choices in a specific pattern.
  • You sir, have made the right choice. Many of us here struggled with that same decision - do I postpone and wait ANOTHER year before starting law school? Or, do I take a shot in the dark and hope for the best. The former has always proved more benefi…
  • You seem to have a lot of it figured out. That said, I would start by figuring out which prep course or set of books you want to utilize. As someone who has used 7Sage, among many other companies, I would recommend 7Sage. Buy all of your materials.…
  • @civnetn That is absolutely fine. I myself end up circling anywhere from 10-15 problems. For about 3/4 of them, I am 95% sure that I got the answer right. However, I find that I will circle them simply because I couldn't eliminate one or two of the …
  • @"The Talented Mr. Divine" said: @MrSamIam..That makes a lot of sense. Thank you. So basically just go through it at a pace I am comfortable with and make sure I'm learning. That sounds like a plan! You got it, bud. That's exactly what you shoul…
  • @StopLawying It usually does . I find that when a stimulus looks wonky, often, all it takes to make sense of it is a fresh set of eyes. Or, in many cases, skipping and returning to it when timed pressure has been reduced.
  • Are there any particular sections that you're having trouble with? If so, your best bet is to drill those sections (by question, game, or passage type), then drill by section type, and finally start PTing again. An increase in your BR score is alwa…
  • Last year I interned with a handful of defense attorneys, and spoke with multiple judges. When I mentioned that I was studying for the LSAT, they all replied with 2 statements. 1: "My condolences" 2: "At least you'll never have to see it again afte…
  • The fact that you're not setting a deadline for when to take the LSAT tells me that you have the right mindset. Your only task now is to figure out which school you want to go to, their average score, and consequently your target score...then, to ac…
  • Like @"Cant Get Right" mentioned, you're permitted to give them away to other users, but not sell them. You can try eBay, or even a college campus. Although, with the latter it may be difficult to find buyers.
  • Congrats! That's an incredible score!
  • I believe it took me 4 months to complete the core curriculum. Mind you, I was taking notes (if I could do it over again, I would not take extensive notes) and doing 2-3 of the problem sets for each question type. Take as long as you need. Many peo…
  • You need to start prephrasing. And, if you're already doing it, you need to improve that skill. This is ESPECIALLY true for flaw questions, because the incorrect ACs are often worded in a way where they can and will be correct on other questions. Th…
  • Have a system for skipping questions. In other words, know which questions you're going to skip before you even get to them. That said, I am not promoting that you skip all of a specific question type(s). For instance, don't just skip all of the SA …
  • LSAT Student (sorry, the system isn't letting me tag your name), do what works best for you. In your case, I think it's perfectly fine to obtain LORs from professors who you have not developed a close bond with. I'm sure law schools understand that …
  • As often as you can without running the risk of burnout and without having to half-ass your BR session.
  • During the written section, I'll let it slide (since I can write well with distractions). For any other section, I'll ask the proctor if they have a tranquilizer gun.
  • Can I assume that this sudden switch from being a LR boss to an LG boss and slightly weaker in LR is because you focused much of your attention on LG while also ignoring LR? If that's the case, go back and drill the problem sets (especially NA/SA s…
  • PT's 50+ are certainly more indicative of what you're likely going to see on an upcoming LSAT. However, 36+ function incredibly well as study tools. So, use them to PT and BR. Also, did you BR all of the 50+ PTs? If not, do 36+, then redo the ones f…
