Old LSATs with proper blind review are beneficial in combination with those that you have not done. Repeating some questions actually helps cement reasoning patterns. Old games are especially good.
Seriously though... now is not the time to be worrying about whether you are prepared or now but rather now is when you should be in full prep mode... its more than 2 months to the exam and that is good time... if you're still like this after say a…
Well I intend to finish my material by the next week end odd and then hit the tests at about 3 a week with 3 alternate days for blind review ie tuesday thursday and saturday testing and wednesday friday sunday BR... but that is because I've done thi…
I'd say don't worry about the time limits right now... it is inevitable that there will be a drop in speed since you haven't done stuff for a while... also those things usually come together about a month to a month and a half into testing... you'll…
Me too... I think its doable ...already done half of it in a week... thing is we have a base as we have already done things before so its much easier... for example I am hardly making any mistakes on the LGs now
I go 100 % with JY...I mean for MBT questions, once you read the stem, you know exactly what you are looking for and your reading of the stimulus becomes that much quicker and more effective.
It can definitely help... while I do not know how Blueprint teaches (thought they are a solid prep company with stellar credentials), J.Y. and co are unique in that they help you build solid theory to tackle LR questions and draw their explanations …
Go Rasheed!!! I'm going to try again...I got a 163 with a - 9 on the games...congrats on getting your dream score...we started our journey together and I followed your posts...yours has ended so well...I've still got miles to clock...all the best fr…
if it helps I'm still practicing games ...got a 166 on my last test...pt 64 with a -11 on games...not a nice feeling either...but I'm going to give it my best and then not think about it...if worst comes to worst I'll retake in June...one year in th…
I think the best thing to do is relax...just chill...its not the end of the world and there are plenty of LSAT administrations after this...most likely you will do just fine!!! Have faith...and a milkshake or three!!!
Madeleine..stuck in same boat as you...score ranges from 160 to 166 - not feeling great either ...but there's still time to improve...my problem s games and there's no shortcut for that but practice so that is what I'm going to do...as for reading c…
I would say keep on PTing till a few days before the test...then look at your PT scores by that time and ask yourself...are you comfortable with them? If yes then great...go ahead and give it...if you are not, then don't give it and wait.
Of course everyone would have their own differing perspective on this but I would say first get a basic hang of the course...cover the syllabus from the shortest course i.e. the LSAT complete and then do as many timed tests as possible with proper b…
The first thing that you should probably look at is games..this is because games are the one part of the LSAT that is extremely learn-able with the marks being mathematical and will raise your score 5 to 10 odd points...any one can walk away with -0…
Hi cupcakestealer...my two cents would be...only to give the test when you are ready...remember...the LSAT is a test that decides your future...its by no means anything close to the most important thing in your life but it IS very important because …
Mike LR questions...like every other type on the LSAT are consistent....as JY said in one of his videos...the LSAT introduces a new LR maybe once every 10 odd years if at all...there is no latest type of LR question...if you want a good score, you s…
Depends on what your priorities are...you have a plan you should stick to it...my take is that education is always good - in that it is an investment in yourself - and if it comes without the kind of debt usually involved with Law schools then why n…
For me it was the tips and tricks that the MLSAT RC guide gave me...as in what to look for while reading the passage...how to eliminate wrong answers...how to effectively annotate the passage while reading.
and my two cents ...Manhattan LSAT reading strategy guide...though JY says that trainer is better, MLSAT did the job for me...down from - 10 to -1 to -3 on the tests
practice practice and more practice...drill types....make 4 odd game days...try and drill a particular type on a particular game day...first don't time a question...watch the video for it...understand its in and outs...and then repeat it...gradually…
True...what you could do however is to create a broad outline of the passage in your head as you go along and then use that outline to answer questions...there are some questions that are a given for at least 2 to 3 passages on the LSAT...what is th…
try revising the weaken questions before the flaw questions...I tried that and it worked for me..or at least look at the theory of the weaken questions before attempting flaw questions...no guarantee but it worked for me.
See if this method works..it does 90% of the time for me...so at the beginning of every lesson, I let the video run for 5 secs and then pause it, it buffers and does not give the error...
On that note..JY thanks for putting the games online...I took out all the sequencing games (basic) from the 10 official LSAT Preptests and after watching your videos for a few and practicing your problem sets, was hardly getting any wrong...like 1 q…
