Part of your reasoning for not delaying seems to be that since your PT scores range from 161-168, you're hoping for a lucky day (168). But you should consider your PT avg excluding older tests (60s and below) and think about whether or not you'd be …
I like that idea. Fee waivers is a cloudy aspect of applications. I’m in the airport without a computer. Happy to build one later or contribute to any that’s built before I can.
@sx23 no but I feel dumb for sending them an email. They clearly say on their website that they waive the fee for any application received between 9/1 and 12/1 http://www.law.northwestern.edu/admissions/faq/faqjd.html
@eRetaker Yup!
Dude. I literally watched this 2 days ago and thought the same thing. Super relevant to approaching test day. Thanks for sharing!
P.S. I'm starting BJJ in a Renzo gym next week.
@Giselle112 BC extended a waiver to me this week when I emailed them directly with my numbers and brief financial situation. So they definitely offer waivers. If you've looked on their website, no harm in shooting them a brief email asking for info.
Nice! Cookie cutter review basically unlocked a consistent upper 160 score for me. Keep at it!
Ps.. there are a lot of different takes on cookie cutter reviews so don’t be afraid to ask around for opinions
As a side note, I don't think that "not caring for ten years" makes a very compelling addendum- people usually write addenda for things like severe medical issues, taking care of a family member, etc.
Agreed! The "lazy" addendum only works if y…

How do you view what schools have granted you a fee waiver on the LSAC website? Also, what is the best day to directly reach out to a school to request a fee waiver?
It becomes visible when you start an application for a school. Yo…
I think you should seriously consider postponing your applications and improving your lsat. Postponing sucks but it's an investment in your future. It gives you time to get into better schools, reduce cost of attendance w scholarships, access better…
@retaker2014 @sx23 duke just sent me one too. There’s no way to know whether it was coming regardless of my prior email to them or not, though.
@"Michaela.Pratt1" hm I don’t know if they can see that or not. I believe the only info lsat shares is v…
@sx23 that’s good to know. I’m half hoping find a few unsolicited waivers once I go to apply. Luckily, Michigan granted me a waiver when I asked them directly.
@akistotle Totally. Maybe I can still snag one by attending a GULC event.
@eRetaker Thanks for the info. I received one of those UCLA unsoliciteds.. whoop whoop. How do I get to the page on lsac.org you describe seeing a fee waiver from Duke? I loo…
Haha I think you're overthinking this. It only takes a few seconds to say "turn the page and start working now" it won't make a difference. I would assume that once he says "turn the page" you turn the page and by the time you look at the questio…
Funny you should ask that. I always assumed in my PTs that you couldn't turn the page until "now". But in my test center, everyone was turning before the "now" so I did too. It will most likely depend on your proctor.
@Emily2122 Oh good! Just make sure you check their website first.. if they give clear instructions for fee waivers, be sure to follow them.
Unless you are requesting need-based waivers, I don't think it makes sense yet. Although, many schools seem …
@"samantha.ashley92" Not sure whether you mean how I chose the schools or why I decided to reach out so I'll just answer both : )
I only reached out to my school. Built my school list based on numbers and area of employment.
I reached out because …
I just want to be really clear. When I say I underperformed June, I mean that I scored way below my PT average, that is, way below where I had proven capable of.
Yeah agree w all the above. I never actually made it to 25 in 25... I usually finished my first round between 27-29 minutes and returned to 5 questions max. My LR avg was -2.
I started to cut out the LR questions I've missed/had trouble with and review 5 each day, like notecards.
Consider each of those questions carefully in addition to any easy questions that took you longer than ~1 minutes to complete and try to c…
You can find LSAC's data on retakers here https://www.lsac.org/docs/default-source/data-(lsac-resources)-docs/repeaterdata.pdf
I jumped 10 full points between June and July of this year but a large portion of that jump was underperforming June rath…
Great question! I don't have a clean answer but I'll share with you my own personal experience.
1) Sometimes when a question goes wrong in the first round, I know it's a matter of a bad read and not because the question was actually difficult. It's…
