People take longer than that to pass the bar exam, so not only is it applicable in real life, it's applicable to the very career field you're trying to enter.
Beyond what was already mentioned it is best if you can provide compelling reasons to indicate that you would absolutely attend if admitted. That could be relationships to alumni, family in the area to help lower your cost of living, etc.

First make sure your LG is on lock, like 0-2 wrong on average. Just start PTing and build some analytics. Then after 5-10 PTs go back and work on your weak areas.

If you have to take a year and a half just to study for a test, should you even become an attorney?
This is as flawed as saying "if you had a 146 diagnostic, should you even become an attorney?"

Whatever system helped you get to this point in your life that you are studying for the LSAT will likely help you more than almost anything people might post here. Trust your own skills and self awareness to guide you in the right direction.
The LG gap can be closed in a very short amount of time, and if you do that you're looking at mid 160s with no other improvement so just keep going and I would take in September and fall back on December if needed. Depending on your goals you won't …
In my opinion you should be asking people that don't need to read anything about you to write you an awesome letter. Obviously if you don't have anyone like that then yes that could be a good plan. But I still think for professors it is better to se…
Request transcripts and LORs first since you don't do much after that in both areas... Draft PS and resume and then alternate work on both to keep yourself fresh and not get too locked into either one... Then if need be you should have alternate res…
Erasing that deficit in LG would get you in the mid 160s without improving anything else. Ditch the powerscore and just plow through the LSAT Trainer by the middle of July and you should be fine. I'd say you should plan for September knowing that yo…
Also, there are more people on this site alone that have been studying for more than three months and still haven't cracked 160 than there are people who went from sub 140 to over 170 in less time.
It can be done in the same way you could go from a 120 to a 180 in a few months. Sure it is technically possible but statistically incredibly unlikely. You're setting yourself up for massive disappointment with this mindset. Let the prep and your pr…
Doing it through LSAC is way better all around. It's all automated and they keep it in case you reapply and you can toggle what letters go where. Especially if you're applying to more than a handful of schools it can be a huge pain to make someone d…
A 34 point increase in that span of time is an incredibly rare occurrence. If you're going to self study then get the LSAT Trainer. Otherwise get a 7Sage package and set your sights on December at the absolute earliest. Your friend is the exception …
Retaking PTs is very effective IMO. If you can go up even one point it is worth it, so unless you're already above every 75th I would say go for it. Ideally you should be PTing 3-5 points higher than you previously were to better ensure your score i…
I'm guessing you only read the OP on that thread. With a handful of immature exceptions that thread is actually a really great and frank discussion between a lot of people across many different big law environments. I know 700+ posts sounds like a l…
I would recommend going into the LG section of the 7Sage app and then find any sequencing with conditional rules or sequencing with a twist games. Those tend to be the more difficult versions of the basic sequencing games.
If you're missing more than 5 per LR section I think you have some issues with your fundamentals and I would take some time to go back through the logic lessons as well as any question types that you really struggle with based on the analytics.
Just remember that the correct answer to a Necessary Assumption question can be both necessary and sufficient so don't let that trip you up by discounting an answer that is both.
I did this for my prep leading up to the June test. It's absolutely possible with current functionality so if the OP is having issues then they might have an issue with their interface.
