I don't know what I'd do if someone puked on me during the LSAT... I feel like that should be a free 170+ right there... (cue discussion of ipecac buddy team strategies for October/December)
I tend to do this randomly and I don't feel that it affects my performance. I think it has to do with being a bit of a skimmer and a multi-tasker. I find it just breaks up the monotony sometimes to read the ACs backwards or completely out of order a…
@profile427 Call literally any admissions consultant and tell them your story and they will likely give you a free consultation so that you can decide if they can help you and if it's worth the cost. I would hurry up if you're going to do it becaus…
Tighten up that LG, and then use the analytics to really figure out what question types on LR are really hurting you on times tests. RC should improve with LR improvement and understanding so just keep plugging away.
IIRC the cost is the difference between the original prices or else very close. As I said, the real sacrifice is the length of access if you go smaller and then upgrade.
I don't really understand how your BR only gets you close to 50% correct but untimed you get 80% correct... Those numbers should be much much closer as they are virtually the same thing with the only exception being biased towards your original answ…
You can upgrade but it just upgrades your amount of access and does not increase the length of that access to the full amount of the higher package. You would then have to buy the necessary extra months separately. Upgrading only adds a month IIRC.
Well I'm thinking if you read it and there is no argument or no flaw, then you should already have narrowed down what the possible question stems could be. It should be an interesting experiment regardless. I think I did my diagnostic that way and d…

@pacifico how did you learn how to diagram rules? was it just after practicing with the problem sets that they came to you?
I had an intuitive feel for how to write out some things, and then I just adopted pretty much all of JY's …
I'm actually thinking about testing out the read the stimulus first strategy to parse out the argument/reasoning (if any) in order to develop a deeper understanding rather than reading the question stem first to color my perspective.
I haven't used anything but 7Sage and the Trainer but honestly I think this is an area in which JY really excels. I sometimes encounter similar issues with really convoluted ones and then if I watch JY's explanations it becomes so clear and simple. …
As I say to everyone else in this situation. Prep for October so you have a sense of urgency (but don't rush at the expense of learning), take it in October or don't, keep prepping until you get your score if you took it, then take or retake in Dece…
The Trainer/7Sage combo is pretty comprehensive in my opinion. I'm sure you can find people who used every imaginable study resource to get a 180 so that is essentially meaningless. You could eventually find someone that got a 180 on their diagnosti…
I think given that only about a half dozen of the top PT programs are schools that appear in even the top 50 FT programs it really doesn't matter much where you go after the top 3 PT programs (Fordham has some decent employment numbers in NY). So it…
If you really picked up a lot from the Trainer I would revisit his LR instruction on reading for argument structure. I found that between all the 7Sage and Trainer work in LR I really made great strides in RC as well because the former forces you in…
There are separate rankings of part time programs so it's not entirely apples to apples since GU is at the bottom of the T14 but it the top PT program. And after GWU it gets a bit crazy in terms of correlation between PT and FT rankings as you can s…
Pro tip: get your own perc and dry clean everything yourself... Sure you'll have to buy a new washer pretty frequently, but nothing says hipster lawyer like DIY dry cleaning...
@wlamont you really don't need to take a GMAT course after the LSAT... As long as you get a good handle on everything 7Sage teaches you and you do well on the LSAT, then just study some appropriate level math for like a month or less and you'll be g…
I've heard the full spectrum of opinion on law school prep with the majority leaning towards don't bother and FWIW I've seen good to poor reviews of Larry's course. I was considering it but now that it's leaving 7Sage I doubt I'll end up signing up …
As far as I know it's all based on data generated by 7Sage's analytics. I'm more certain it's the case for the percentages than for the difficulty ranking as the latter could have been assigned by JY et al.
@mc_meatt are you referring to the question videos or the explanation videos? I know when they first posted the new sets they put up videos of the questions simply to time yourself and not to explain the question.
That's definitely true, but I know for a lot of convictions that even if you don't get it sealed you can still sit for the bar if you meet other time passage requirements or can somehow show you have effectively put the matter behind you and are not…
It absolutely depends on the state, the charge and many states have provisions for evidence of rehabilitation so you could do some pretty serious stuff and still be cool. And you can definitely become a lawyer with a DUI in many states.
When you're actually okay with any of your options. Far too many people pick reach, target and safety schools but have no intention or desire to ever attend their safety schools. While I would love to snag a T14 admission, I chose safety schools tha…
