So I went to the one for Georgetown recently.
I recommend you wear higher-class casual wear. Say like a nice v-neck sweater, jeans, and nice shoes (not dress shoes, like chukka boots or brown nicer shoes) - something along these lines.
At my open …
It's sorta a screwed up system. There's virtually no benefit to canceling your score, but the only remedy the LSAC really gives for a disturbance is a score cancellation (some lucky ones get to take another exam, but that's SUPER SUPER rare). At the…
Haha yup! I feel like this happens every time you take the exam - you just wanna know what the answers are!
You just spent the last couple months doing preptests, and after you took them you could always check how well you did. With the actual exam…
So these kinds of things never happened to me, but from what I've read on previous posts the LSAC generally does not take action .
It's good that you think you did okay regardless!
Honestly my biggest factor now is quality of life. I think people should pay more attention to this.
Having worked my butt off in undergrad, I sacrificed a lot of things I'm not willing to sacrifice anymore. Since I'm predominantly deciding between…
I think you should apply. What do you have to lose? E-mail them and ask them for a fee waiver (I know a lot of people who did that) - then it should only cost $35 to apply.
I visited Georgetown during an admitted students open house with it being maybe #5 on my list. But gosh darnit they wined and dined and sold the hell out of me. It's honestly like #2 on my list now; I loved it so much. I especially loved the people …
@"Radhika." @J.CHRIS.ALST @PublicInterested Thanks everyone !
@Max_henry91 Hey! I was only offered an individual interview. I just attended Georgetown's Admitted Student's Open House, and MOST people who were there did a group interview. I don't th…
I was gonna say exactly what @"Alex Divine" said.
Be focused on keeping your GPA high and studying for the LSAT. Don't do clubs if they will compromise your grades and test scores.
@acsimon I got the same e-mail..I think I (and maybe you) was targeted because of minority status. Did they send you the Affinity Group packet as well?
Take.
Time.
Off.
You have the friggen' flu. Listen to your body!
Even if you didn't have the flu, if you are feeling burnt out you should take a day off. As someone who personally thought they could "brute force" their way through burnout and FA…

@Lsatkayy I think most schools will just give you a scholarship offer a few months after admitting you/right when they admit you.
I know Cornell has a merit application after you've been admitted though, but it's more of something you fill out that…
I doubt a legacy letter would have an advantages over a normal letter. I'd ask whoever you think is going to write the best letter and who knows you the best! Preferably from professors.
@tylerdschreur10 How were your softs? Personal statements, letters of rec, etc? Was your resume professional? Also did you make sure to preview your application for typos? Did you fill out the application to the best of your ability (didn't leave a…
@jack.igoe Thanks and congrats on getting an interview! I did my interview on December 18th, got the call yesterday January 17th.
@"Alex Divine" I love Cornell mainly because of it's educational philosophy - "lawyers in the best sense." No! I've ne…
