Even if you were not at all interested in the school, couldn't you use a full tuition scholarship for negotiation if it pans out, or just the practice of a interviewing at a law school?
Great point!
I don't think it's worth it. Your numbers are really good. I don't think your C&F violation is too heinous, so I don't think it should discount you.
I think you can easily get into uChicago and Columbia. I don't know if there's any evidence tha…
@Sammie215 If you click the link they provided, you can set up an in-person interview. Idk why you would lol (beyond the fun of traveling), since the interviews are supposed to only be 20 minutes.
@10000019 If they paid for our flight to St. Louis I would totally do an in-person one just to explore the city.
They might also throw a lot of money at us if we're above their numbers.
@goingfor99th Neither I nor my friend had diversity essays. Just personal statements. That could explain things!
@10000019 Nope, just regular decision.
@10000019 No I haven't heard back yet. They told me it would take ~3 weeks to process my interview before I heard a decision back. With the holidays, I expect this to be even further delayed.
I also wanted to say, I have a friend who had a 175+ and…
You know my take! I think you're more than capable of hitting in the 170+s - just them test-day factors are holding you back. With two tests under your belt, I think you can perform in the 170s come February.
I don't see any downside in retaking.
You should use the 7Sage CAS GPA calculator. Under the "7Sage lsat" header, go to "Admissions," then go to "Resources" and find the calculator there.
Use the grades that are recorded on your transcripts (even if you got an A+ but your school report…
If you're worried about your tattoos keeping you from law school (idk how they could possibly tell), you shouldn't.
Anecdotally, I know of a person at uChicago law that has full Yakuza-style tattoos on his neck and arms. You should be fine
@loxoxoxo It's just a professional convention. To be honest, I'm not sure why its a thing, but every employer I've ever had has told me to keep my resume to one page..
@mcglz_64 Haha maybe! I'm tempering my excitement but I feel good about it
@dml277 @goingfor99th Thanks!
@"jack.igoe" Did you apply to Georgetown? If so do you have an interview coming up?
Just FYI I had a friend who had a 2.9 uGPA, studied hard, got a 177 on the LSAT, then got admitted to nearly every T-14 school (including Harvard!). He ended up going to UVA on a full ride.
You can do it!
If you're straight out of undergrad I don't think they expect you to have a lot of work experience.
For my resume, I listed 3 jobs that were most pertinent to law school. Some schools have an "Employment" section on their app - I listed all of my e…
They ask you how you are and you just have to say that you're fine when you're not really fine. But you just can't get into it because they would never understand.
Hey I just wanted to bump this. According to a contact one pre-law advisor has in Georgetown's admissions office, historically 75% of applicants who were offered an individual interview were admitted. FYI.
