@guitarnara Yes I'm going to take the exam in June. I feel like Sagers tend to err on the side of postponing (for good reason, people waste takes all the time), but I don't think that someone should consider postponing out of apprehension due to the…
I would personally advise you to take the test in June, as @stepharizona mentioned, there's still a lot of time to improve.
Think about it this way: you've been prepping for a while, this would be your second take, are you really prepared to add on…
I've gone through retakes of tests that I took about 6 months ago, and occasionally I'll remember the topic of a passage, game, or LR questions but I'm never able to think "oh, I remember B is the answer because blah blah blah"
Sometimes I get some…
I'm also interested in what people have to say about this. Especially strategies for dealing with not being able to have the test and bubble sheet side by side
I guess you could say I'm just coming back from a break in a very similar situation.
Been studying for the LSAT for a year off and on. Usually score in the high 160s but recently surged to the low 170s, finally felt like I had broken the high 160s …
Thanks everyone! Appreciate the feedback and reassurance. It can be tough to step away from the LSAT grind but I feel like once I have my course work "house in order", I'll be able to give my full attention to studying and do better work overall.
Echoing the responses of alexander and Pacifico. Sometimes the LSAT reuses a stimulus or a variation of the same subject matter for different questions types.
As others have said, if you can't say in your head "I know this question, B is the answe…
As far as OP's original concern, I wouldn't rule out taking the June test because test centers near you are full. If you're ready to take the LSAT, take it. The trusted advice of taking as much time as you need is good, insofar that you're not going…
First off, congrats on the score increase. It's funny how much confidence and satisfaction comes from seeing that number rise even slightly.
If your self-study method is working, stick with it. I'd say take a few more PTs to see where you're at tho…
Is your goal the mid 160s? Have you gone through the whole 7sage curriculum?
I don't want to come on too harsh here, but sounds like you need to buckle down and evaluate how hard you're willing to work/how badly you want to do well on this test. Th…
@nibs7985
For LR timing, it's not necessarily "speeding up", but maximizing how you use your time. By that I mean, spend time to read the stimulus so you have an understanding of it before moving into the answer choices. If you have a murky idea o…
Sounds like you may be psyching yourself out during these PTs. For LR, how do you normally feel during sections? Are you scrambling to finish in the last few seconds/flat out guessing on some questions? If you have a good grip on the fundamentals, p…
Wait is this expiration in reference to purchasing PTs through Cambridge? I've never had a problem with buying/downloading from Cambridge, but guessing I should buy the few PTs I haven't bought already?
I would recommend at least doing the most difficult problem sets for the parts of the LR curriculum that you're going to skip. If you can be nailing the toughest problem sets with confidence, you're probably good to go, otherwise hit the lessons. As…
Interesting read. To be honest through, I would be kind of pissed if they dropped the LSAT as a requirement considering I've poured so much time/effort into it over the past year haha. Call me salty for that, but it's how I feel. @JHAldy10 , I compl…
Take all advice from others with a grain of salt.
The LSAT the most important piece to your application. People generally don't understand the potential impact this test can have on your future (job prospects, student debt, where you go to school/…
You might want to try bubbling in groups. In the webinars about strategies and tactics, some of the sages recommend bubbling by page in LR and by passage/game in RC and LG. Could help you shave some precious seconds and reduce your tendency to misbu…
If I were you, I'd concentrate heavily on LG. You can absolutely drill LG down to consistent -2/-0 with some effort. You might be at mid 170s on some of these tests if your games were even a few points better
What's the benefit of retaking some of the tests on an almost monthly basis? Especially the 70s..won't you just remember the answers to questions you struggle with?
In light of Corey's webinar on time management skills I want to bump this thread back to the top of the forums. This video of Jonathan working through the section, and his commentary after, just reinforces what Corey and Nicole spoke about during th…
As Allison Gill Sanford talked about last night on her webinar, the "weird" games of the 90s aren't typically what the current test focuses on but occasionally they have been throwing in an unconventional game into newer tests. So it's definitely go…
5'7 here, so while I don't have your problem, I'd suggest doing some research into test centers in your area. There are a few different resources online that have written reviews from testers.
Also, if you live close to the test centers in your are…
