@Tori98765 Interesting! I’ve actually been drilling sections in the 70s and just reached the upper 70s so I guess this works !
@canihazJD Ok, will do those two then!
I got really good at LR by doing a crap-ton of sections. Like, I've probably done 100 LR sections by now, and blind-reviewed them (similar to foolproofing LG, except you don't have to redo the sections over and over you just need to BR REALLY well.)…
I understand how frustrating it is, when I first started studying it felt like the LSAC writers were out to get me and trying to prove to me how stupid I am. Don't let the exam undermine your confidence and hard work, but I know how important it is…
@goforbroke I too am starting to see that PTing isn't the strategy to increasing my score. It increases stamina and endurance for sure, but honing in on weak spots and doing thorough blind reviews will be the most beneficial in the long run for me I…
I do find the pre-2010s reading passages easier, but that may be just me.
Generally speaking, the average of your last 5 or 6 RC sections should be what you should rely on for data.
@adimanm1
So I took the digital LSAT a year ago in Sept 2019 (right when I started my masters -_-) and the month leading up the exam, I was aiming for 3 PTs a week. In practice, I think I ended up doing 2 PTs a week. But at the time, I was doing 5-…
@VerdantZephyr Agree, 2 seems to be a good balance although I think 3 can be reasonable if you're not working a full time job or a parent lol (god bless yall)
@adimanm1 Thanks for explaining in such detail! I agree with you on RC, that's definitely where I have struggled to see the most improvement, whereas for LR and LG I've experienced near-perfect or perfect sections. If you're starting to hit early 16…
@ceatherton1 So what I've been doing is taking 3 sections at once, then taking the second LR another time (usually within the same week).
Then, I record my "low" score and "high" score, so I understand the general range I'm in.
What I've noticed…
I would recommend not doing anything that would induce anxiety. If you want to drill, maybe do drills on your strengths so that you can build confidence for the exam. The hardest work has been done, and you will not make gains in three days, or even…
@mbmeowww Hey, don't listen to everyone else, everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses! I had a friend who scored a perfect LG score on his DIAGNOSTIC. I was like bro....
When I was first struggling with LG, I literally did 1 LG section ever…
@lilpingling I drink mango white claws like it's water.
Thanks for the suggestion!
I feel you on the COVID fatigue - I personally try to get outside for at least 45-60 minutes a day. Being outside near grass and trees really does make a difference…
@ceatherton1 Awesome - that's also what I was thinking. Are you taking 3 section exams, or the full 4 at one time, or...? I don't really see the advantage of taking the 5-section exam because it might stress me out more, even though I know it's supp…
I saw another thread about this, but I can't seem to find it.
From what I gathered, people said to call LSAC and some said they had luck being able to still register over the phone in spite of it being after Sept 23. I would try that instead of ema…
@Ellegoals Thanks for the advice!!! Ugh...I knew I would have to buckle down and do tons of RC (the way I did for LG - I was doing one LG section a day for a long time) but I guess RC is so much more daunting as a section. 2-4 weeks of intense drill…
@elainevillanueva yes I think we should file complaints. Honestly, just because they had done it once before in July doesn’t mean they’re experts. I think the first three testing dates with the digital should be considered the experimental/guinea pi…
Hardest LG section I’ve ever done and I must have done at least 50 LG sections total in my studying. I usually score -1/-3. This time, I think I bombed two of the games, and the other two I’m sure I didn’t get all right. I don’t even know what to do…
I printed out all the games from PT 1-40 but I was also doing practice sections everyday (ie LR - LG or LR - RC) from more recent tests.
However I did redo games over twice or three times if I didn’t get most of them right on the first try.
Afte…
I’m only drilling one section at a time right now while using the digital tester. Is there a way to see my incorrect/correct answers after I’ve only completed one section? Or do I have to complete the entire exam in order to see the answers? Also ho…
