@rdormer12 I'm in the same exact position as you in terms of telling friends. I'm withdrawing as well, after pushing off once again from my original date in December. I think what is helping me this time round is remembering how my friends were surp…
Okay I think some time away from this question and coming back to this response helped.
Here's what I've gleaned. The conclusion is claiming that kinesthesia ALONE (meaning with no other senses accompanying it) is sufficient to run a maze. So if ki…
I know the super majority of the time law school apps are really just all about numbers numbers numbers. But sometimes it is helpful to remember there can be a sometimes kind, empathetic human reviewing your application. For instance, my older siste…
@LindsMitch @"lady macbeth" Starting with the New Year, I actually cut out almost all chemicals from my skincare. So now I use tea tree facial bar soap from Whole Foods (only 2 bucks which is nice)! I'm a big lover of oils--right now using grapeseed…
@"lady macbeth" which essential oils are you into?! Ever since I started studying for the LSAT I've been super into skincare... as in I do a homemade facial every night. Nothing better to beat the stress
You already know you can do better if you keep studying, so in order to do better I would say it's almost necessary to take a break. Think of the break as a means to get a +165!
I was in a pretty similar situation as you... full time studier, was feeling like I was plateauing, had major major time issues w LR and LG, had to push my test back a couple of times, was starting to feel hopeless.
Here's what saved me:
1) taking…
@BinghamtonDave I'm about to print out PT 1-35's flaw and do the 5 questions a day from here on out. Same with NA. I'm inspired now.
Also examining the voracity of the conclusion is really helpful. I just missed a flaw question bc the conclusion ma…
@"Leah M B" I just implemented your working it backwards technique on my BR! Helped me pin down a q via POE. And I'm about to do daily drilling. Thanks for your help
I like doing a combination of JY's Memory Method and Powerscore's VIEWSTAMP, while also making sure to devote as much time as needed to reading the passage (this ranges from 2:30 - 4 minutes reading depending on the difficulty and/or density of the …
Working out/general physical care for sure helps. I like pilates, as it also gets into a bit of the meditation thing that seems to help with the LSAT. I also like doing facials---anything to destress after studying.
But reading has been my saving g…
I was in the same position as you!! I was FPing LG's a ton and I was burning out. Wasn't seeing the immediate gratification of improved scores. Took a 3 week break. First set of new games I did I made significantly fewer mistakes AND I was able to f…
Yes!! I encourage taking breaks too. After going a little stir crazy my scores ended up actually improving after a 3 week hiatus. I guess it really does require some time for the material to sink in and register.
With all the positive energy you give out to people, I know you're kind person and good will come to you with your studying. Believe in yourself because I and everyone else believes in you. There is nothing you can't do. Nothing. Rock on and don't g…
I realize I worshipped all the responses mentally but never actually wrote out a thank you. So thank you everyone for taking out the time to help me in my moment of despair. As with everything in life, it's nice to know you're not alone, so special …
Thank you for both of your responses!! I really thought about speed vs accuracy and I decided I should watch more of JY's explanation videos for LR to feel more confident about eliminating answer choices and zero-ing in. My understanding is there, g…
I've been doing it quite regularly for the past 8 weeks and I'm on PT 24 now. Hoping to be finished with the whole set by the end of this month.
That's just me--some might work slower or faster, or have more time constraints.
