The LSAT is my only obligation so I treat it like a full time job. I split my review so that I review as soon as the test is over, go over questions that I circled. The next day I'll go over what I got wrong and create next steps for how I can impro…
The mentality towards the LSAT should be one shot, winner take all. If you're approaching the test with the nation in the back of your head that you WILL retake it, I don't think you're taking the test seriously enough -- that isn't meant to be a pe…
DO NOT WRITE IN JUNE. If you are anticipating that you will not do well (relative to what you want), DO NOT TAKE IT. Give yourself October and December.
I have a few things that helped me get out of the 160s (mostly):
1) Be hyper analytical. Why am I missing questions? Is it the verbiage? Subject matter? Different types of causal arguments? I would be highly diligent about analyzing the questions yo…
Here's my understanding of the law school situation given this article, countless conversations with law school professors and graduates, and my own research. Take it for what you will.
Jonathan's class was hit the hardest by the recession. 2010 wa…
I want to try this out @amanda_kw. I think this is a great way to get through the questions in a timely fashion and give you lee way to go back to the other questions.
Hey @XM193AF90, I think your question comes with A LOT of practice. One of the things that tips you off that the naming of the groups doesn't matter are these two rules:
"G and V do not serve on the panel in the same year as each other"
"H and Y do …
Urgh, I get this question wrong every single time.
Two main things stick out:
1) Subject shift. (C) takes about all of psychotherapy, (E) is talking about psychotherapists, which is what we need.
2) Modality. If we use the negation test, (C) says …
Hi @abovewater7, while this is certainly an unfortunate series of events, 7sage gave ample notification to students saying that .pdfs would no longer be available. The thread in which JY made this announcement, as well as @jdawg113 's, were both sti…
Most people tend to say PT 57 is quite hard because of the brutal mauve dinosaur game so awesome job on the great score! I'd also say that you can't really tell if this is a fluke or the beginning of a new trend until you have more data points, whic…

In particular, he says when learning to ride a backwards bike - he knew how, but still could not do it. Anyone else feel this way about the entire test? You've gone over all the material and know what to do - but for some reason …
Both also have that part to whole problem as well, I would say.
BRH is not the same as houses in general, they are a subset. This is also true in D where all legislators aren't the same as public servants in general, they are one body of people wh…
I think if you're going to be a splitter case then applying early is advantageous. There isn't necessarily a disadvantage to apply in November or December but there is an advantage to applying earlier. I agree with @ddakjiking that NYU will most lik…
On the question of PTs, I have about 20 I haven't seen at all. For the bulk of them, I don't remember enough of the questions to make an impact. There are some questions between PTS 1-38 where I know exactly what to do to get the question right. Thi…
@DumbHollywoodActor UGH I KNOW! I do think it's possible for some but it's so rare. What I've come to realize is the lsat is such a personal process and requires a ton of introspection. For some people, all they need is 1 or 2 course materials to br…
English (and language) majors for the win! My diagnostic RC was also better than I ended up averaging as well!
I think the biggest difference is that, during our diagnostic, we can intuitively rely on the skills we used as close readers in our clas…
@mes08 I had a couple of plateaus.
Plateau 1: 158-162
My diagnostic was a 151. I went through the Blueprint curriculum first which marginally brought up my LR score but got me to donut/-1 on LG fairly quickly.
My personal belief in my knowledge of…
I'm curious as to why you want to take preptests before you finish your "coursework." I ask because I was always under the impression that PTs were to test your understanding of your concepts under timed conditions, not as an avenue of learning the …
I'm inclined to start an excel of "quirks" to minimize the amount of variability. My upper range is not as high as yours (max I've hit is a 175) but same boat. Sometimes, you're just ON FIRE and every argument clicks, you pick up on the assumptions …
Finish the coursework and then take/blind review tests. Most people on here will tell you to not take PTs until you feel like you have a solid grasp on the fundamentals because you'd be cannibalizing the precious resource of 74 untainted tests.
but my score when I took the practice test cold before 7sage was 150...I don't know if that matters.
Your diagnostic score doesn't matter as much as how you're scoring now. If you're aiming for NYU, assuming you're at the median for GPA (and not too…
