  • Thank you for responding everyone, I found it weird that people were saying to bring that stuff in .
  • @iamcardibri said: @VanishingTaxAct @ebalde1234 Actually, thanks for reminding... I had better RC scores when I only focused on the three passages. Maybe I'll return to that strategy. Using the three passage strategy I would consistently …
  • @keets993 said: Nope, November is not too late. Depending on where you're applying to, some of them take in Feb (or I guess its now Jan) as well. I know that most Ontario schools generally start first round of admissions around december/Jan so…
  • I second good annotations
  • lol controversial but I skip the hardest - usually the science passage . Spend more time on the passage then the questions .. rc tends to go up and down
  • I agree with everyone , if you have paper trail and history to prove it go get accommodations and on top of that modify your study strategies. Remember sometimes switching course material too many times can throw you off
  • I’ve heard both sides of this discussion and I would say unless you do incredibly well I don’t see why they would take it away . I know recently lsac is being more lenient with accommodations. If they do , I would appeal it .
  • It definitely varies from person to person and from test to test , as the new pts are s bit diff. Your scores will increase once you master the material and work on building your own personal strategies based on your weaknesses and strengths, make s…

  • @Nunuboy1994 said: Just retake it- you just had an off day. Also,159 really isn’t that bad at all. Disappointing based on your results? Sure. But a 159 is still a decent baseline score. It’s so cliche but you hear all this hype on forums and s…
  • Earlier tests are different then newer tests in some respects . This is fact you can affirm from the forum . Try to integrate more recent pts in your prep and look at the trends for newer tests , best of luck
  • @LSATisland said: I don't recall the specific point increase @ebalde1234, and anyway I was likely employing other strategies concurrently so the correlation is unclear. But, as I mentioned and as @Ohnoeshalpme stressed, I found them helpful w…
  • @LSATisland said: I found reading external material helpful. I sensed weaker scores on passages relating to science and such, so I took up reading The Economist and Scientific American on my spare time. In general when I was studying for the…
  • @Ohnoeshalpme seems like the returns are slim for someone who doesn’t grasp it .. time better spent on na / sa type perhaps
  • Side note how many passages : pts should I drill for rc to fool proof ?
  • @sandypants said: I have been having RC fluctuation problem as well ): I’ll go from -6 to -1 then back down and up again, I don’t understand!! Its usually arts passages that get me though. I’ll be keeping an eye on this thread for advice as we…
  • If by high you mean 3.7 plus you might be able to get in with a lower Lsat , but that depends on the exact cgpa and your softs (lor ecs, personal statement) and the school you want to get into . For example western is mostly a numbers school
  • From what I read it is nice to have it on the application but might not give you a huge advantage. If you published research that is definitely a leg up . I’m applying to Canadian schools too . What schools are applying to ? Numbers schools vs holis…
  • @Ohnoeshalpme had a thread on this recently

  • I’ve been trying to figure out a rc strategy mixing and matching to see what works , it’s very individual . See - http://lsatblog.blogspot.com/p/lsat-reading-comprehension-tips.html?m=1#tips I went through the sections take what you like from it , m…

  • Don’t put in too many hours you have sept and nov and whatever comes after . Lsat studying is not like under grad studying . Try to keep it balanced (I’m telling you from my own personal mistakes ) . Also pt scores can go up and down . It happens . …
  • @Ohnoeshalpme said: Parallel method and parallel flaw are the hardest question types by most standards. They require a significant amount of time and engagement to get correct. I’ve played around with the numbers and as a general strategy, I’d…
  • @AlexRexeger said: Interesting. This is very helpful. Plus I’ve been pretty worried since I’m sort of burning through PTs to use for RC so I guess foolproofing them would be better for me in the long run. Yeah don’t do that , if you’re dril…
  • @Ohnoeshalpme said: I’m not totally against fool-proofing RC right now. Just like LG, RC is highly, highly repetitive. Redoing RC passages that give you difficulty will help to elucidate the internal structure in the passage, and give useful f…
  • Yes you can revisit them at a later time . You don’t want to use up the newer pts drilling rc sections. Try to prove out why the answers are incorrect / correct . Develop a notation strategy and notice why the author created the structure and the pa…
  • @"Return On Inference" said: I did all of them when I did the core curriculum. I would advise against it really -- I wished I had saved several problem sets from each area so that I could have used them as drilling materials after I start…
  • I doubt anyone at the first go went through all of them .... lots and lots of time , plus if that wasn’t your weakness why do 30 sets of the same question? Obvs this doesn’t really apply for lg (you need max exsposure )
  • @Ohnoeshalpme said: @gaflparalegal said: @Ohnoeshalpme Thank you!! That makes perfect sense and you are so right...I have been looking at it wrong. I also know that if I think about waiting until say next summer, I will have the…
