Hey Bsulli, having recently taken most of the most recent tests (including 72 which you rocked a 166 on... way to go man!), I don't think there is much difference except for comparative reading, unusual games in the 2 most recent tests, and a few s…
DO THE MOST RECENT ONES!!!! (he shouts from on high!). Seriously though, do the most recent ones. 58 was a million years ago. This weekend, do the 2 or 3 most recent to give yourself time to review them for the most recent trends. You'll be bette…
Some of them are easy to remember once you start to fully embrace conditional logic. Some of them you just have to watch the video a few times. Others, you have to watch a lot.
Anytime I get a parallel flaw question wrong, I typically end up goin…
I can only study nights and weekends... took me 7 months to get to where I am now. Depends on how much you work at it and how quickly you pick it up.
TT and Allison are right. No need to rush the decision. You should go ahead and schedule for …
Seems to me that this assumes the hiding $100 bills are released. If they're a store of value in a vault and don't come out to play, then when you resample, you just get your tagged $100 bills back. Based on this, I think it has the potential to u…
I, like chedda, wish I had your problem. However, I have an answer to your question too. If I had the time, I would use it to go back over questions that have specific references. For example a question that asks, "according to passage, the autho…
This is what I've been playing in the background while I take my tests. This is in addition to the 7Sage Proctor. JY is scary when he says "PUT YOUR PENCILS DOWN!"
Hour + of library sounds, including lots of page turning, typing, PA announcemen…
Hi @Tanes,
I posted something about SA questions yesterday and included an NA example for differentiation. Don't know if it'll help, but if you understand SA, at least somewhat, then this might help you think about NA differently.

Ha, yes! I was there with you! I even remember reading on some of the later quizzes comments to this effect. I was like, whoa, were those easy questions he was doing in the videos? It gets easier, don't worry. I noticed that JY likes to make us …
@ttunden if that's that case, that you've met some of these people in real life and checked their scores, then so be it. That said, I still think you should let it drop. If you won't call out your friends, then stop talking about it. That said, i…
This is mostly right, but I want to add a few tips that you'll discover on your own soon enough. First, add #5 to your list for when you get something wrong and did NOT circle it. If you were certain you got it right, and instead got it wrong, you…
Nick, others have asked before so I wanted to post what JY's response has typically been in case you don't find one of his older posts on the subject. He see's the mind-map as a teaching aid for him, not as something useful to us. He wants us to …
I'm sad I didn't get in on this love fest earlier. To the fellow who started the thread, you could ask for a refund if you're within your 14 day period of purchasing.
To everyone else here... I love you.
@ttunden - I've never said it before, I've…
First, I'd figure out the error in the timer. You should ONLY takes timed PTs. Anything else won't come close to test day pressure. I think you should try to download the proctor video if the app isn't working. I use the 4 section proctor video …
Another strategy might be a bit of game theory. Assuming you still cannot finish all passages after improving as much as is theoretically possible (but c'mon... you'll improve!) then one strategy might be to look for the RC passages with the most q…
Try opening other PDFs. I can open them on my windows surface tablet just fine. Might be that you've got a random bad file that won't open (corrupted in downloading or something so try re-downloading or opening another known good PDF) or it could …
I can't say I endorse this theory at all. I think there are not enough easy ones at the end to warrant skipping around like this... certainly not enough to risk your bubbling if you're prone to that particular error.
I'd say get through 1-10 prett…
Short answer is no. There are certain questions for which there is no video explanation. Usually students post their questions here on the boards for those questions. There are videos for all games though.
Edit: Let me expand. There are video e…
I started out in the same boat. Luckily, my memory isn't as good as yours. That said, You need to do each game at least 5-8 times, if not the full 10 as recommended. If you remember the inferences, so be it. Force yourself to read each question,…
My diagnostic was bad enough that I don't have the confidence to air it publicly. After 7Sage, I couldn't score below 160 if I tried. My average right now is 167/8. Sometimes higher sometimes lower. You definitely can bring that score up enough t…
Bravo Andy!
Edit: Came back, re-read Andy's line about WB being 84...laughed again. Can't get WB in a batman suit out of my mind. I imagine him throwing really heavy wads of $100 bills at evil doers.
I think JY's meaning is that you typically don't aim at the conclusion. You aim at the support for the conclusion. If the argument says all A are B, but you know that's wrong... or the question tells you to weaken it, then instead of saying somethi…
More specifics:
If you're missing questions in groups, you probably have trouble letting go after a hard question and it's affecting your next few questions.
If you miss questions at the end of a section, you're probably feeling rushed for time. …
It's nerves. You already know you have the skill to score in your desired range. Focus on that, not on recent scores that were lower. Review your recent tests and see if you notice any trends, either through the scoring analytics or otherwise. If…
@chrijani7 is right about being able to identify the type of flaw being really helpful. There is a lesson that has a PDF of many of the most common flaw types. Does anyone happen to have that link handy? I'm too tired to search for it right now, …
Drill on nothing but Flaw and MSS questions for a whole day. Every 20 questions or so, BR them and then watch the corresponding videos. Correct and then do another 20 until, ad infinitum.
You can find them grouped for sale by category in books an…
I printed a bunch of flaw questions from early PTs and went to town on them. Nothing but flaws all the time. Went from about 50% to now over 90% on average. Still not perfect, but pretty satisfied with taking my worst and bringing it above 90%.
…
Alice,
You're absolutely right. With practice you'll get there on RC. You'll learn that you're reading for a different purpose. Most people read the passages like they would read any article in a magazine. Once you get used to reading the passa…
