This train of thought, however, does nothing to serve me. I recall that this journey belongs to me. I remind myself that this test requires the steadfast self-belief, patience, and effort that only I can draw from within myself.
This train o…
If I'm reading this right you've taken six practice tests in the span of two weeks? If so, that's waaay too many. You shouldn't do more than 2 per week. Also, are you analyzing each test thoroughly? Does your BR consist of writing out your reasoning…
Good luck everyone! I don't think you can stay totally sane, to be honest. When I took it officially I basically went through all possible scenarios (like some black mirror episode) in terms of the kind of score I'd get. Just know that no matter wha…
I think the votes you get will be based on people's strengths. I wonder what the test would be like if we had one of each section and then the fourth was random on each test instead of always being a set LR section.
The thing I found helpful in discipling my schedule was being part of a study group, because the schedule is pre-determined. Of course, that doesn't mean you need to burn yourself out to meet the schedule but it does help to tailor yourself. I think…
@ParmeetB yeah it's the second method. You have it running in the background and review after. You can do this with untimed sections as well, it's a good way of getting used to timing conditions as well.
@ParmeetB basically you record yourself taking sections or PT so you can improve on your test taking strategy. While you might have a feeling you spent too long on a question before skipping or spent too long not skipping, those are just feelings. V…
Go over the ones I'm really unsure about, or that I skipped because things aren't clicking. If I'm stuck between two I usually trust my gut and go with one and don't change that. But if there's questions where I don't understand an AC and just chose…
@btownsquee @Ohnoeshalpme that's why I'm like is it worth it to save or should I just delete. Wondering if people do rewatch and get something out of it.
@akistotle do you actually rewatch those videos?
Congrats!! I saw your posts frequently last year! Btw, I think I remember seeing something about a huge actual and BR gap...what strategies were you able to successfully implement to amend that?
So I basically start with a -3. I guess this means I’m a slow reader...?
Not necessarily. I used to think that way about myself too but when I recorded myself doing an untimed passage, I found that the amount of time I spent reading a passage w…
I try to find generally one or two sentences per paragraph that sum up what the purpose of the paragraph is. It's generally stated in the paragraph itself, and so i would condense that and make it my low-resolution summary.
Interesting, so you would treat it like an argument part question? I personally prefer to read the entire passage and focus on structure because that's what helps me. As with everything, I think it's better to try this strategy out yourself to see i…
I think you can use a combination of both. I generally use memory for low-res and for high-res I might look back at the passage for the key words. For structure, tone, and MP it's probably best to try to do it without referring to the passage though…
I usually diagram even basic stuff for parallel reasoning, parallel flaw, or SA. Or sometimes I just circle the two key items vigorously that need to be connected. I think it depends on you and trial and error. I've found my accuracy is lower when I…
