I turn 42 on Tuesday. I have to be honest, whenever I hear someone much younger than me worry about being too old for law school, it can be pretty discouraging. That said, I think there are some distinct advantages to being a little older and more m…
The fact that your BR went from a 153 to a 167 tells me you've gained a tremendous amount of knowledge. You are absolutely capable of achieving a score near your BR! Narrowing the gap takes work, but it's totally possible.
@Stable_boy I'm going through the same thing. I score 13 points lower than my last practice test. I've been watching the data from my preferred schools and their early admissions pool is already stronger than the last 5 years combined. It's disheart…
@js-45555 What changes did you make to your study habits? As noted above, my knowledge feels pretty solid. It's the time and the test process that seem to have the biggest impact on my performance. I'm not even sure what to study anymore because I f…
I feel your pain. I actually scored lower than my diagnostic test. I'm torn between laughing and crying. The thought of doing it all over is soul-crushing. I'm not even sure how to go about studying at this point. I feel like my knowledge is excelle…
Exactly. I hope the proctor enjoyed watching my express yoga sessions.
I'm sort of enjoying this period of uncertainty. Until I actually see my score, it is both good and bad. Schrödinger's LSAT.
@sophieswitzer I definitely had the same test! I vaguely remember a passage about acoustic something and I think one about fish skin? I think the RC was probably my best section. I also had the exact same issue with LG. I'm annoyed with myself becau…
I swear you are the fourth person with this issue today (including myself). I wonder if we all got the same LG. They felt extremely time consuming. Since I haven't taken it yet, I'm waiting. Do you think your other 2 sections were good enough to ove…
I'm laughing out loud. I felt so stupid. The proctor probably felt sorry for the old lady with technology challenges who couldn't figure out a web cam selfie. I had to hold my ID up 3 times because my hands were shaking too, I finally just said, "I'…
@cpeaks13
I didn't. But they want you to have a phone or a mirror to see the front of your computer. I grabbed a mirror. Seems odd that they would even let you have it anywhere near, but I swear they do if that's how you show them your computer.
Did anyone else have a stupidly difficult time getting their face to line up for the photo? I felt like such an idiot, but I couldn't get it right. Somewhere, someone is watching the footage and laughing at me.
Also, don't forget a mirror or your p…
I just finished about 30 minutes ago. I had LR-RC-LG and @nicolasnudler your experience sounds a lot like mine. The LR was almost more unfamiliar than difficult. The RC was, as far as RC goes, not bad at all. LG was pretty typical, but one game was …
I actually live square in the middle of the area- in Omaha (aka NE-2, the infamous "blue" electorate). This puts me about 4 hours from Iowa City, 2.5 from KC, 5 from Minneapolis and STL, 7 from Chicago, 8 from Milwaukee, and so on. There are a few d…
Me! I feel like my knowledge is about as good as it's going to get, but I'm struggling massively with time. I'm burnt out and I haven't slept in days. For some reason, I decided it would be an awesome idea to schedule the test during a time of major…
@dhw010 Me either. I tried to do a reading section yesterday and I kept thinking, "I wonder if they've updated Arizona yet? I should stop this and check...." and so on.
I do the same. You can also take the additional section timed later and add it into your score just to see if there's a big difference. Thus far I've only had one instance in which my score was much difference.
See this thread from yesterday! https://classic.7sage.com/discussion/#/discussion/comment/163909
I have some strong feelings about PTs in the 80s. You're not alone.
Yes- if you go to the test you want to take and select "take digital test," you should then be able to hit the "covert" button and that will allow you to manually add answers just like you're filling in a sheet by hand. You can also use this feature…

One thing that I find useful for questions with difficult setups is looking at the first question. The first question is usually a sequencing question, and it'll tell you what the groups you should use are vs what variables go …
I would agree @canihazJD (not stalking you, I swear. We're just online at the same time) on the timing. The best thing I ever did for myself was to print out an entire test and go through it one section at a time, analyzing each question until I fel…
@canihazJD I would agree to an extent that the tests aren't especially more difficult in the sense that my scores haven't really changed much, they've actually gone up. So clearly, I'm learning or something is "clicking," I just feel incredibly blin…
Ugh. I did... until I got into the 80s. I think 79 seems especially difficult because it's the point where the tests make a fairly dramatic shift toward their current state. Unfortunately, they get worse. I'm not crazy, btw. There are many articles …
I felt like PT 88 had some brutal RC. In fact, that entire test was nonsense. It had the worst RC and the worst LG I've ever seen and both in the same test. If you're looking to destroy your self-esteem, definitely go with PT 88.
Not sure if this will help a lot, but here are some things that really helped me. It's kind of a two step process.
First, I always start every question by determining what's "wrong" with the argument in question. These argument "issues" (note I am …
@Christopherr @VerdantZephyr @FindingSage You are all too kind. I'm very old, ergo I am wise. JK, I'm not. Not even a little. I'm also not especially mature.
I don't know about any of you, but I'm very fortunate in having the kind of job that allow…
First off- I love this thread. I work 40 hours a week, starting at 7:30 a.m., I also have: A spouse, a mortgage, 2 cats cats that I'm sadly obsessed with, and a 15 year old who is dealing with some very significant physical and mental health issues …
Do you mind if I build on this concept with another question? Because just a few days ago, I came up with a similar issue/question and was hoping someone could give me some input. If, for example, I applied to a school that has a 154 LSAT average wi…
