If I get distracted I try to just take a few breaths and close my eyes to re focus. Literally EVERY time I have ever taken a PT, I have had a song stuck in my head. Every time. Not even the same song either. It's the wors…
I still have this issue to a degree, but I found that daily mediation - especially right before I take a full PT - helps tremendously. I also started thinking of sections in terms of "disaster management". For example, If I feel like I bombed an LR …
@MissChanandler that’s a good idea. As much as we hate it, the “test day penalty” seems to be a common occurrence. I will probably start doing a second LG too since I fool-proof anyway. Thanks for sharing!
@NotMyName true, if a person was crushing 4 sections at a high score then maybe 5 would be nice for an extra challenge. That makes sense, I won’t worry too much about it.
@LSAT_Wrecker That is an interesting turn out. I suppose it also depends on what the 5th section is. For me, two RC sections would be terrible haha. I agree, doing a few 5 section PTs might shed light on some weak areas. Thanks for sharing! I will k…
@"Testing..." Thanks for the pointers! I agree that having a consistent strategy is key. That RC score is amazing! Sounds like you're going to crush the test! Well, back to trial and error haha.
@Bamboosprout thanks for the words of wisdom! I agree that expectation is the killer of happiness. I will certainly lower mine for subsequent PTs. A large part of this test is having the right mind set, which is easy to forget. Thanks for the practi…
Will studying full time for the LSAT look bad on your resume for law school? For example, If you had a 6 month gap in your resume to do LSAT prep will admissions officers consider that a red flag?
@J.CHRIS.ALST Thanks for the insight! I agree that turning my LG score will be a crucial goal. I am definitely going to start practicing timed LR sections with the stopwatch method. Its funny you mentioned Lawschooli, that study program was my firs…
@Sami Thanks for the info! I was going to take 1 PT per week, but after reading your advice I think I will do 1 every two weeks. You're right, I need to take time to drill weak areas before I dive in again.
I haven't taken fresh timed LR sections, …
@ChaimtheGreat Thanks for the insight! I will look for webinars on RC. Did you use the MM and Low resolution summaries? If not, what is your notation strategy? I don't "diagnose" RC passages, I think I will start.
@LSAT_Wrecker Thank you for your service! I understand how it can be annoying to be known as "the retired Marine," but I'm glad to hear you've had positive experiences thus far. I don't think the drills will be an issue since they are on weekends, b…
@"Leah M B" Thanks! I will definitely try the lawschool.life forums. I'm far out from the admissions cycle seeing as I plan on doing the September 2019 cycle, but will definitely ask the admissions officers at my choice schools.
