I second what @TBh.11235 said. I use to think the same way about the exam. Thoughts like "how I probably just have the potential for a 160 because these test are hard." But that kind of thinking is usually what keeps the mental block from going away…
I second what @jdawg113 said. I had about four PT's with pretty consistent scoring (156, 157, 156, 157), about 2 weeks before the test. On test day I did not score anywhere close to those numbers. Test day is completely different. When I studied I u…
I'm curious if anyone has completed all of it? When studying for the first LSAT I took, I did about half (averaged 3-5 wrong on my PTs because of it). However, non of those games set me up for the Dec. LG section where I didn't do so well on two of …
@jdawg113 thank you. I guess I'll just work on it and if I feel I've exhausted 7Sage's methods, and I still can't get a good handle on it (maybe 3-4 wrong a section), I'll get the LSAT Trainer.
I just purchased the Manhattan LR Strategy Guide, and I plan on buying the LSAT Trainer for RC. I'm still going to use 7Sage as I believe that having a video for 99% of the questions will always be helpful, and 7Sage is also the full package. I just…
I think I will purchase the Manhattan LR after my midterms. I have faith in 7Sage and contribute most of my understand of the LSAT to this program, but it's also hard to access at school. I need to feel the paper and it's easier for me to whip out a…
@jdawg113
I've tried sleeping! Every time I go to bed at a normal time I wake up at a random hour and can't go back to sleep. I'll probably get over it eventually though. I understand what you're saying, I should give myself a break once a week. I…
I think the times are put there so the student has an idea of how to plan their week. I finished a week and a half's worth of work the first week, and only finished half the second week.
I don't have this issue, but I know a couple of friends who have had this issue. It's probably mental fatigue/anxious for the section to be over. I'd label it as a mental block. One way people overcome this is by doing PT sections over and over agai…
@harrismegan I envy you then! I feel it was a decent contributor to my score. Once I start on the PTs, I'll be going to my university library and/or Starbucks to take full length tests.
@Marie4lawschool Yeah I had the same issues on test day with m…
@harrismegan yeah I've heard the same too! I guess I should take some PTs at a local Starbucks or my University's library? When I first took the 7Sage course I used mechanical, now I'm using wooden. I want nothing to throw me off on test day! I reme…
@harrismegan yeah I was wondering if I should wait it out till October, but there's a certain deadline I need to meet with my law school .. It's comforting to know I'm not the only one, though. Thank you for your input !
Weirdly, I enjoy studying for it. Also, the stress. Studying for the LSAT keeps the stress away. I feel stressed when I'm not studying, I feel comfortable when I'm reviewing it. So, how do I stay motivated? I just study. Doing anything else, includi…
@jdawg113 well on test day there was some sort of high school debate going on in the classroom next to mine. They were using microphones, sliding desks across the room, and constantly opening a squeaky door. Should I add that, is it not worth mentio…
@jdawg113 Thank you for the advice. I think if I take the test in June or Oct I can def hit the 160s (I was able to average my upper 150s within 3 months), so hopefully with another 6-8 months worth of studying I can nudge further along and that wou…
@LeBisondeMist I'm just comparing the powerscore targeted score chart with the raw total I get on the PTs. Yeah based on this conversion chart I would have gotten a 157 not a 156 (which is the score 7Sage gives me).
@esther.adam2013 At the moment I'm not sure how much i would be able to collaborate with you as my schedule is very sporadic and I often study at odd times/hours .
@matt1234567 & @justrandom thanks haha! I send luck and positive energy back you…
Yeah Flaw/Weakening question types seem to be the questions I miss the most. I downloaded the Cambridge bundle for weakening questions, and after going through all of them I think it helped. So I'll probably also purchase the flawed reasoning bundle…
Thank you both of you! Yeah, my LG I average about 4-5 wrong, so I need to iron a few kinks out in that department. I heard somewhere that there's a huge difference between the PTs in the 50s and the PTs in the 60/70s. If so, what's the difference? …
