I've literally never done any "outside reading" for the LSAT. Instead I watch quality television programming (during the, you know, 6 hours of free time I have each week) su…

Around 53:45, what is a "perfect pre-phrase"?
Pre-phrase = when you have an idea of what the answer will be after reading the stimulus. It's a made up word for the LSAT world to my knowledge Perfect pre-phrase is when you know …
Joanne--I personally underperformed by 5-8 points of my average on my first take. Your first take is a pretty radical experience. Many (!!!!!!) around here have had similar experiences. @"Quick Silver" and @c.janson35 for example. Both with 99th per…
To answer your question--yes, for a few PT's, I found it benenficial to do the full write up-on-review approach.
For drills though---if you're drilling now, trying to take it in February, you're barking up the wrong tree and begging for burnout.
OP, bad news. You can't "reach the 170's" by brute forcing it or wanting it or pushing reaaaaaalllllyyy hard.
Good news: The kind of improvement you're talking about requires TIME. Judging by your gravatar, I'll go out on a limb here and say you'r…

I thought it would help to keep my brain "LSAT ready" by taking PTs up until test day but at this point I'm not sure that's helping.
More likely the opposite.
This is why we tell you not to take this many PT's close to the end and why we tell you not to score PT's you take close to the test.
Nerves and possible burnout. Slow WAY down. Stop taking PT's.

Think of that "prescription" as a goal. You should not be seriously thinking about any of this until you've finished the curriculum.

I woke up at 6am the entire week before the LSAT, and then the day before (Friday morning) I woke up at 4am. It was difficult to get out of bed, but I was dead tired by 8pm Friday night and passed out around 8:30-9:00pm.

I feel like I'm psyching myself out for Saturday by looking at all these trends that show the RC having gotten harder over the years.
Actually in my opinion, RC was harder in the 60's and has tapered in the 70's.

You could always go to the doctor and get some Lunesta, Ambien, or whatever else floats your boat.
Just try any medicine out a few days before Friday ... You never know how you'll react to a foreign substance!
Every day this week: Wake up at 6. Go to bed when you're tired, definitely before 11pm.
Friday: Exhaust yourself through exercise. Get a Swedish massage (lowers cortisol, Google it), 90 minutes. Take a bath with epsom salts. Get in bed by 8pm. No b…

Am I gonna get anything from 3 extra PTs this week?
Take it easy, maybe do some stuff (1 section or less) each day. No big deal. I'd say no more PT's though.
