I do use it as a difficulty gauge. If I chose the correct answer and ~30% got it correct I know I got a curve breaker correct. If I miss a question that ~90% of people get correct I acknowledge that I was making careless mistakes on a straightforwar…
@lsatplaylist They could have different deadlines for when you can cancel to get a coupon and when you can cancel (last minute) but just lose the money you spent? Definitely let us know what LSAC says!
@sarahisk Yeah! Just remember that LSAC doesn't want to have to give people retakes, that costs more money for them. So they will continue to try to clarify instructions and improve the technology if it means they can avoid issues.
@lsatplaylist I think you have to call/email LSAC and ask for a coupon and your exam cancelled. Someone on here said that the deadline to do this is July 6. But I remember with June and May Dave Killoran was saying that people were allowed to withdr…
Yeah this was a big concern for me when taking the June test after hearing about the May test!
I will say, I had a very positive experience with the proctor in June and Dave Killoran also reported that, in aggregate, people had much more positive e…
Yeah you can definitely ask LSAC to book you a hotel room! I'm fortunate enough to have a quiet environment, but if I didn't I think I'd try to use a friend's house before trying the hotel room option. Someone posted about room service knocking on t…
@MrsRobinson1 I agree with you about the difficulty of focusing (and breathing sometimes) in a mask. Maybe they could work out a hybrid option where people can opt to take an in-person exam (some people prefer this and it would give LSAC more experi…
@clawhopeful No I don't think so? I honestly don't remember specifically, but I wasn't stressed about the start time.
@dhaley22 I think they send a separate email about making a ProctorU account? For the June test they sent this a month in advance …
@dhaley22 For the June we received step-by-step instructions the Tuesday before the exam. I can share the instructions here if it's helpful. Of course bear in mind that this process may change for the July test (unlikely, but possible).
Step-by-ste…
Yeah I think he means drill until you get the inferences down. Games with very similar rules will have very similar setups. So if you "memorize" the set you will be able to make inferences in similar games much more quickly
@sarahisk Proctors don't necessarily change. They mentioned proctor changing in the video briefing before the exam, but mine didn't change. I don't think you can request to have just one proctor.
It seems like either you get a good proctor or you get a bad one and demand a retake. I'm not sure laying out ground rules at the beginning would help. The proctors do get sent rules beforehand by LSAC. So either they follow those rules and proctor …
The admissions portion of this site has a section addressing this. Basically, if your score is not too low that they might reject you off the bat (as opposed to waitlisting or giving you a long wait for a decision), you are better off waiting for a …
@LSATisMyFriend Clearly you don't have an understanding of the nuances of racism. Why was it necessary for the OP to specify that the proctor was in India? Moreover, how does the OP know where the proctor was located? The only info I received about …
@Not_that_JY my proctor didn't ask to keep my paper in frame and I don't think that's an actual rule. You could contact LSAC about it. I don't know why they would give a hoot if they could see your paper while you are writing on it. You have to rip …
@legallyconfused You could always email them today that you want to cancel and explain that it’s not letting you! That way they have a record of you saying before the deadline that you intend to cancel
@legallyconfused Ooh yes it sounds like they took the option away from you because I can see it. I imagine that they don't want you to cancel if they are investigating.
@legallyconfused I'm pretty sure they have been resolving tech issues by cancelling the previous test and giving you a free re-take! It's probably better that you contacted them directly about it instead of cancelling it yourself. If you cancelled i…
JY splits sooo frequently and in many cases that I wouldn't. A lot of the times I think a game is simple and can be finished in ~5 minutes by letting the questions lead you, but he'll split into 4 game boards and have it take ~8 minutes. I still lik…
So they already opted us in if you check your LSAC login. I'm in the same boat, not sure if I want to take July or delay.
However, I heard from May & June takers that they let you switch to the coupon last minute. So I'm sure it won't be an iss…
