Taking a full PT is a waste of time. If you're really itching to see how much you've improved, reprint the diagnostic test's LR sections and try them again.
Force yourself to take a few days off. I took a weekend off and told a few people about that for personal accountability. On that Saturday, I felt "good enough" to study something. But I forced myself to take that day off with the end game in mind. …
The first time I do a problem, I typically take 15-25 min to it and get about 3 questions right. By the third time I've done it, I can usually get it in the the suggested 5-12 min and get all of the questions right (maybe one wrong). I just finished…
The more stressed you are the days before/day of the LSAT, the worse you are going to do on exam day. So I would suggest doing whatever you can do to alleviate some stress-- whether it's delaying the LSAT or taking more time on the other parts of yo…
To go along with what @keets993 said, Bill Nye the Science Guy is on Netflix haha. I really hate geoscience and space, so I watched a few 20-ish minute episodes to learn enough about them to avoid getting completely freaked out when I see those topi…
@AshleighK so I'll admit that I actually learned RC as part of my high school's effort to slay standardized testing; I haven't done the 7sage curriculum for RC yet. However, I scored in the 99th percentile for the state every year and had -4 on my d…
I usually write things like "question", "problem", "solution", "then", "now", and maybe a word/phrase to summarize something if there are multiple problems, solutions, etc. If I think something is really important (like the major premise/main conclu…
It's really helpful to know this information because I was looking at Queens where the median GPA is much lower than mine... and then I started wondering if the median GPA in Canada is lower, making my GPA worth even less. It's all just crazy to me …
@PearsonSpecterLittUp ok, that makes sense. I think it also depends on which American school you went to. My school never inflated grades, but I know some do in order to make the average a C. Also, some schools do put every exam on a bell curve. I h…
@PearsonSpecterLittUp I think what @AshleighK is saying is that an 85% would only translate to a 3.0 in the US, while it's about a 3.67 in Canada. It gives Canadians an unfair advantage. Like my 3.8 GPA in the US would be a 4.33 in Canada. However, …
@keets993 can OLSAS get your letters of recommendation and transcript through the LSAC? One of my recommenders was an adjunct professor, so I'm not sure if he still has access to his school email if I need him to upload the letter again.
Going from 160 to 166 requires you to get another 9-10 questions right. It would be impossible for me to make that jump. I'm not saying it would be impossible for you, but you'd probably have to put in at least 200 hours of studying. Why not delay?
Learn which question types you can really trust yourself on, and don't second-guess yourself on those. With LG, make sure that once you see the right answer you move on. Also, I see you have the starter package. You get access to a lot more resource…
@Nuraldeenb how far are you in the CC and when are you testing? I finished LR and I'm hoping to be done with LG by the end of the month. I'm taking the exam for the first time in September.
I haven't heard of lawyers making $50,000 except for people right out of law school going to work for the government. Either way, your LSAT score can help you get scholarship. That is a big focus for me. I think that law school would put you in more…
I agree with a lot of what has been said. I wouldn't touch the hard questions in the question bank until you're done with the entire LG section. It's good to have them saved for when you're reviewing all of the question types later. If you had the U…
So idk if these qualify, but I wish someone told me these things when I first started to study!
In any LR "parallel" question, if the topic is mirrored in an answer choice, I skip it and read it last. 9/10 times, the mirrored topic answer is the wr…
So glad you posted this! And congrats! I've been feeling a little hopeless lately. I had a 155 diagnostic, and my LR drill (timed, used like a PT) score only bumped me up 7 questions... which is only 4 points. I'm hoping to improve my LR more (from …
Hey! So you actually don't even know how the individual admissions committee members would view a score jump, regardless of what some other schools do. If it's a significant jump, he/she might even see the jump as you taking initiative and clearly w…
