I think in addition to the above, lots of timed work and maybe a tutor and/or a student study pal. Some people have started in the 130s and after a lot of work, they got very high scores. Don't give up.
So far for PrepTests, I'm just seeing the option of taking four sections, not just selecting 1 section, unless that 1 section is a Problem Set. Is there another way for those who may sometimes be doing just 1 section?

You don't need a law firm job, but you may want to talk with lawyers about their career paths. Unless a school asks for an academic LOR, you don't have to include one.
Maybe in addition to writing, sometimes talking about it can help. And continue to be determined and give yourself the time you need to prepare. More tests are offered than in the past.
It seems you wouldn't write an addendum for this. Addendums are generally for things related to the applicant's life. Instead maybe just wait a few days while sending a polite email to the person.
