@Brittany-5 Oh man, so sorry to hear that.
That's terrifying to hear.
On a lighter note, if I sat beside a person on the test, and saw her silently crying, I think I may have totally freaked out. Haha.

So anything in a can is a no go? I was going to bring a can of Red Bull to drink during the break. (Will be taking the November test).
Is this not okay?
Nope, they say plastic bottle…
Sorry to hear about your experience. It's not over yet! You can still do it!
If you don't mind my asking, what happened halfway through today? Was it just not clicking?

Food for thought: the reason many people score several points lower on their official LSAT is they have never been in a "high pressure" situation and are not able to properly deal with the REAL pressure of the LSAT, one that se…

Can't you quit work until the test date in November, and then just go full steam, with studying all day everyday until then? Do nothing else. It might work...
Anything is possible, but don't try to get your hopes up too much. 19 points in 72 days, while working full time, seems unlikely.
But who knows, maybe you're super smart, and can pull it off. Good luck.
Wow, 157 completely with no prep is very impressive. You might just be naturally smart, in which case, you very well could achieve 170 by that time if you put in some good studying.
Just curious, so did you just decide to abandon LG altogether while studying for the test, and instead just focused on maximizing LR and RC as much as possible?
How long have you been studying altogether?
@rkathleen, exact same situation here. You could be my twin. Doing decently enough on LR and RC.
But LG completely destroying my score, and I'm just "not getting it" despite much practice.
People say it's the easiest section to improve upon. Not …
Lol at this thread. I went to medical school and then residency afterwards, nobody gave 2 cents, much less impressed or viewed you differently.
Can't imagine law school would be any different.
@LAWYERED, looks like @David.Busis summed it up.
Guess it's do or die for us, in November. No pressure, haha.
Seriously, though, we still do have the January to fall back on. But personally, I'm not going to count on it. I'm going to pretend Nove…
It's pretty late, but there's always the absolute last option: the January LSAT. It's very late so it's literally the last option, but it's still there.
I'm in the same boat. I literally cannot afford to take off another year, it's basically requir…
I have had depression and anxiety long before I started studying for the LSAT. And when I just started studying couple months ago, I've been under incredible amount of outside stress from family and personal matters.
Despite this, I've been chuggin…
I head the Socratic method has kind of phased out or is phasing out in the last decade or so. It's still used but just not as much. Any recent graduates or current students verify if this is true or not?
@NotMyName, wow thank you very much for that detailed analysis. That was really great, and I feel I now have a better sense of where to go from here. Feel like your explanation should be stickied or something by admins.
Thanks again @Sam Tyler, as …

Hi Sam Tyler, thank you for the advice. That was very helpful.
NotMyName, my goal score is 165. The most recent PT I took was preptest 37, and I scored a 158 (72 total correct/out of 101 questions). -4 on RC, -16 on LR, and -9 on LG. So I am off by…
How do you have 50 days till the test? That falls in somewhere between the September and the November test dates. Am I missing a test date here?
Edit: Never mind, I forgot test dates for international are different.
If it's a benzodiazepine, it might prove tricky. First few days/nights off of them, you'll get pretty bad withdrawal symptoms. If you can weather that, then it might be worth it. I've seen plenty of cases when I was practicing medicine.

That's awesome to hear. I'm an M.D., a physician, who dropped from residency training, because I've always wanted to do law and become a lawyer. Hope this helps as well.
