Everyone is different. I am sure there are some people who studied for 3 months and increased their score 10-20 points as you mentioned (although I have never heard a story like that; kudos to them...) But more realistically, I've heard only stories…
We’re in the exact same boat! I started the CC in April too! (Still not done but almost! ) and am aiming for my first take in June 2018! I also work FT really wish I had the bandwidth to study more :-(

I'm going on 7 months. I intentionally went very very slow because I wanted to learn the foundations and I work full time. If you're aiming for a high score, I think it's best to go at your own pace.
