I got my sept. lsat scores back and was not happy. I registered for the November lsat and am hoping to get a 9-10 point increase. Is this possible? any advice?

depends where you're scoring. The lower your score is, the easier it is to gain points

I took the exam in August and September. I scored a 166 in August, then a 178 in September. The 166 was a nerves thing, but it’s still possible.

Depends on where you're PTing at! If you're close to that 9-10 points, yeah, possible to get it close to that!

Its impossible. How dare you even ask this?

How many PTs have you done where you are consistently creating a low and a high? I.E - if your band was at a 155 and a 167 but you got a 156 on the actual test, you can probably swing up to that 167 range. But I wouldn't expect to see you go from a 167 to a 175 unless you were PTing around that area to begin with. Now of course, you'll read online posts where people claim to get an unprecedented score, an anomaly, or perhaps they are trolling, but for the median test takers, the reality is, you won't have any unwarranted significant jump in your scores without putting in the work to get there.

no definitely not. no reason to take so early in the cycle if you want a big improvement...that's moving from 165 to 175 over an 11 percentile jump
