@AwokenNova Maybe we aren't allowed to mute in case the proctor wants to yell at us about something? But either way I'm gonna turn my volume to like level one.......
@jankley
Wow I am so sorry to hear about your awful experience. I feel like they need to allow you to retake this week if you want because the problems were not your fault and now they are going to throw off your timeline. That's so absurd that all…
^I wonder if we can keep our laptop plugged into a charger? My battery isn't abysmal but it is a little old and I'd feel more comfortable if I could just keep it plugged into the wall
^^Thank you!!!! I feel like I'd rather just use a handheld mirror tbh, it seems easier than using a small phone mirror. But you're right we do need to have the phone to show them it's off. I wonder if we can turn it off before or if they need to see…
It doesn't look like they have announced a date by which they will announce changes. They announced the early June test change at the very end of April. So I imagine they will announce July around a month before as well.
It doesn't seem like you have a lot to lose by waiting another year to be honest. I totally get being excited to start law school and begin your legal career, but law school will always be there and it seems worthwhile to wait another year if you th…
Ok I will say - the bible was terrible for me and probably made me worse at games. It was the first study tool I used at the advice of a friend who scored 179, so clearly it does work for some people!
But to me, the books advocated a lot of things …
Nah, I doubt they fill up that fast. I’m sure the proctors post a time range over which they can proctor so if many people choose 12:20 instead of 12:40, the proctors will all be working that time slot.
No, I ended up getting an afternoon Sunday slot after lots of clicking. I don't think it's the time slots filling up, I think it's their system being crap. From what I've heard from May, there weren't issues with people not getting a slot they wante…
https://www.lsac.org/lsat/taking-lsat/lsat-faqs
It's reflected here, under "How many times may I take the LSAT?"
Please note: The online, remotely proctored LSAT-Flex tests do not count toward this total as they were administered as an emergenc…
“ What electronic devices are prohibited?
One cell phone is allowed for use as a mirror during check-in as instructed by your proctor, but it must be turned off and put away as instructed by the proctor before the test begins.“
Can anyone explain …
I’m so thankful to hear that! Obviously nobody wants to retake and retake, but it’s nice to know this weird emergency situation test won’t count towards limits
LSAC responded to my followup email and said
"The information provided by Susan Krinsky regarding test taking limits is correct."
So there does seem to be confirmation that the limit was increased to 4, but I wish they could publicly confirm it.
They specifically say no earbuds or earplugs because they can't proctor them. I imagine if you have a hood on you'll be asked to take it down lol. You should probably reach out to LSAC and ask for a quiet environment. It's not ideal and I wish they …
^I think the issue would be having a clear advantage over people who take this in-person on tablets or paper.
Personally, I would avoid doing this because it’s not worth risking having your entire score cancelled over it. Even if they don’t explici…
@ahnendc-1 I would be extremely shocked if they left that in. Lots of RC questions rely on memory so that would be a ridiculously unfair advantage. Even if the test software doesn't disable command F searching, I imagine it would be a test violation…
Haha no of course I agree, celebrate all of your wins I just meant don't feel bad about lower than desired PT scores because they're a great way to learn
I would say take a PT and thoroughly BR. That will help you get a sense of if your issues now are due to timing or understanding the material. So if you PT 150 and BR 180, you know you have a solid understanding of the material but need to get bette…
This is not true, they addressed it in the Q&A of multiple webinars. I'm not sure if the info is posted on their website anywhere. The only time LSAC has let people check score and then cancel is July 2019 when they were testing giving half the …
